I think I will, actually. Might as well. In the extremely unlikely event that your expectations are correct, by that point I'll already be condemned for all time anyway, nothing could possibly make things any worse for me. What more can god do, condemn me for all time plus two weeks? Frankly I think any deity who'd condemn any of his creatures for using the brains he presumably gave them and insisting on better evidence than the deity seems willing to provide before accepting any of the nonsense you claim is true, isn't worthy of unconditional admiration. In fact as I read the book what strikes me most about him is that he's a liar, a bully, and a cheat.
Actually if a god gave man free will and gave him a conscience , seems hypocritical to condemn man for what he /she /it gave man in the first place .....and god would frown on man for being so blind and sheepish.
Thats like instilling independence to your kids and not allow them to be independent ....makes no sense

Not really, I have trouble keeping up with the various definitions though. Nobody has recently come back from the death, that is as simple as it gets. Why do you think they call it a near-death experience, the big hint is in the word 'near'.
Is that a scientific term? Are those people clinically dead? Or are they just near clinical death? I would think near death is simply near death and death is simply death.

Several people have been pulled from very cold water that should have ended their life due to time under water. There were certainly no signs of life when pulled from the water yet the proper medical procedures can revive them, even in that situation they had not been dead, damn close but close is not past the point of no return.
How would you know? Are you medically qualified to say when someone is dead or when they are only near death?

Depends on who I'm talking to and what the subject is. Do I find you or Anna to be humerous, not really, more like condescending know-it-alls that are correct in every aspect of every post they make while anybody that disagrees with you are basically idiots. That part I do find to be quite funny.
You can say that after doing the exact same thing above that you accuse us of? lmao

I don't recall calling you an idiot for not believing, nothing wrong in waiting for proof. Might suck if that proof is by sending you to the grave for abit. Think how much you'll have to say about that after 1,000 years. lol

Am I an expert on when somebody is dead, nope. Course being beheaded pretty much can be called by anybody, expert or novice. lol

1 second and 1000 years are probably pretty much the same after death.

The doctor says to the ER staff, "I pronounce time of near death to be 12:51 PM". lol

Haven't all the ones who came back from the dead cleared that one up yet?

You could also use this as an example of what happens on a regular basis every single day.

Re:9:5:
And to them it was given that they should not kill them,
but that they should be tormented five months:
and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion,
when he striketh a man.
Re:9:6:
And in those days shall men seek death,
and shall not find it;
and shall desire to die,
and death shall flee from them.

That is basically pain, sounds a bit worse than a hornet's sting. Take a 'normal day' there. You open you eyes and go about getting ready for another day 'at the office'. In the short time it takes you get ready many painful things have happened to you. Scalding hot showers with many slips and falls, shaving with a straight-blade doesn't go so well either, breakfast has many hot things so there are many burns. The walk to the car leaves time for the family dog to attack you and probably urinate on you after he wins the match. The drive is more like a pinball machine from the perspective of the steel-ball, etc, etc. If that is the first woe then it can also be found in the fiery lake as those are the things Satan & Co like to do. I haven't read any verse that indicate man suddenly becomes the more powerful of the two but it could be that way just to make their time all the more miserable.

What woe #2 and #3 describe is how the rest of your days goes, a long painful day, the end comes when darkness covers your vision for the briefest of moments, and ring goes the alarm for another day of similar things. I'm pretty sure you will have a memory for each second. With some luck you might sleep through the whole thing like Lazarus does.
Lu:16:23:
And in hell he lift up his eyes,
being in torments,
and seeth Abraham afar off,
and Lazarus in his bosom.

So why 1,000 years, the Bible doesn't really say. In that 1,000 years that starts with just believers part of the earth is restored to the same conditions Eden's Garden had.
(The tree of life was planted eastward in Eden) It takes the full 1,000 years to teach those people how to resist what comes when Satan is released at the end of exactly 1,000 years. If no believers were alive for any part of that 1,000 years they would not be strong enough not to show fear when faced with Satan and the fallen angels that are not already in the lake. The reason it doesn't go past the minimum time it gets the ones in hell or in the grave out at the earliest time possible.

Above the lake those things are prevented from happening. You do not feel pain because nothing painful is allowed to happen. (ie you bend over and a bouncing rock goes through the space your head had just occupied. Satan's 3 temptations after Jesus's 40 day fast was food (solution for an immortal being, never get hungry , eating would just be for the taste), safety was Satan's 2nd temptation. Rather than surviving a fall from a high place the fall is just avoided altogether. Flight would seem to require the help of an Angel. Last but not least, power that comes with being the King of a Nation. In an immortal world everybody would come to have their own Nation, a dominion they rule over that is made from the same as what Adam and Eve were given dominion over .

It's ironic that a subject that nobody knows anything about is discussed more than any other subject in the world. It's even more ironic that that subject has more people who think they know something about it than anyone else.

Beavers are evil. When we had our farm, I used to have to fight with the beavers to keep the meadows from flooding (we didn't have a Sphinx to show the high water mark). Right now there is a 15 foot high dam over one mile long cutting the property in half with the west side flooded. Yes! Beavers are evil. Xristians have it all wrong. Satan is not a goat (they only thought that because they lusted after their neighbour's goats). Satan is a beaver.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh:smile:

I know one thing that'd be pretty much a miracle. If we actually found conclusive evidence that Christ ever existed in the first place as an actual live n kickin godlike being. :D Or even just a human being. ;)

What I find a miracle is how many will accept things they don't understand and defend it!
