Is somebody or some country nudging another by saying, "here this is what you need, you go first"?

Canada is the world's No. 1 destination for foreign agents, who steal military and political secrets and up to $30 billion worth of research each year, according to a new book.

Well at least it's foreigners stealing our secrets, unlike Clyde Lee Conrad, Larry Wu-Tai Chin, Aldrich Ames, John Anthony Walker, and Robert Hanssen.

The good news is that the current US prez just isn't into Israel and the Middle East. That's the message I get lately. I didn't even notice any hysteria about Iran's new phantom nukes or plant. Maybe this is temporary, but I can't see it changing soon. The media doesn't seem to go for "An attack on Israel is an attack on us." "bout time.

Iraq was a total hoodwink, Afghan only worked with UN support, but now al-Queda is gone so who's the enemy who can hurt us? Nobody. I saw on CNN today many Democrats want out of Afghan. Because, what's the goal again?

The IAEA says they have no conclusive evidence that Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons. All they have are accusations and allegations by the same nations which accused and alleged Iraq had stockpiles of WMDs.

Yet if you listened to the MSM, you'd think Iran's nuclear weapon program was a proven fact.

Now the MSM tells us we should not only fear something which hasn't been proven, but we should also fear empty buildings under construction.

What's next? Should we fear Iran's construction equipment, which one day could be used to construct empty buildings that may one day be used by Iran to build nuclear weapons? What about the factories that manufacture construction equipment? Should we fear those too?

This is so 2002 pre-Iraq war... What this hoax proves is that the same people who fell for the lies and deceptions last time haven't wised up and they are just as gullible now as they were back then.

I do believe you have hit the nail on the head. Some people just can't get enough of war.

First one has to accept that Iraq never had WMD to keep up with your logic.....tell THAT to Iran and the Kurds.

Ok fine.

Otherwise, I accept your premise....on one condition......that you agree, should it become clear that Iran HAS a nuclear weapon, that we turn the entire nation into a glass parking lot to prevent them using the weapon on us or our allies.

What part of preventative medicine don't you understand??? This is not a court of law, where one works "beyond a reasonable doubt", it is a high risk game of brinksmanship, where one has to act on the best info available, on instinct for self-preservation.

Iran with nukes is a DISASTER....much worse than North Korea (bad enough!!!)
Because the religious loons in Iran might well USE them....anywhere, including Toronto......or more likely a coastal city in the USA, most likely in Israel....

it's pretty clear that Israel has nukes yet the glass parking lot has yet to be installed there...
they are apparently driven by ideology to the same degree as Iran. I don't get the deal here

Back in 2002, I'll bet you fully supported Bush's push for war with Iraq. You probably argued that since Iraq refused to reveal the location of their non-existent WMD stockpiles, the US had a right to start a war which has probably killed about a million people.

Absolutely! I admit it.

You guys continually forget that Iraq USED chemical/biological weapons against both Iran and the Kurds. Not only that, before his execution, Saddam admitted to trying to deceive the world into believing he did have WMD........because he thought the UN/US were gutless and would never invade, but he was afraid of Iran, and wanted them to believe he had WMD.

Yep. Still glad the US invaded Iraq. Death to Tyrants!

I just hope the Iraqis settle down enough to take advantage of the long-term gift offered them.......you guys see so so so short-term.

Israel has had nukes since the late 1960s.....and have not used them.

And Israel is a secular nation.

When Iraq used chemical weapons on the Kurds and Iran they were allies of the United States. They didn't have a problem with it then.

I wouldn't go quite that far.........The United States did not wish the Iranian Islamic Revolution to spread to Iraq.....and so provided extremely limited support to Iraq........if you want to talk about Iraqi weapons purchases in the billions of dollars, and Iraqi WMD.....you would have to talk to China, Russia, Germany and France.

To call the USA and Iraq allies is stretching it a bit.....
