"I live downtown toronto so I don't really need a car, subway and bike for me."
Of course, the subway and/or your bike will get you to visit someone a thousand kilomwters away.
I used to be quite content to "hop on the plane". That was when I was not examined, harassed and irritated by swarthy characters, who are far more likely to be terrorists than I.
So, now, if I can drive there, I drive there.
That is why I drive a reliable Toyota, rather than a domestic, union-labour-built piece of garbage.
I used to enjoy flying, until immigrants from socialist countries made it unpleasant.I used to be quite content to "hop on the plane". That was when I was not examined, harassed and irritated by swarthy characters, who are far more likely to be terrorists than I.

And like Sir P's Nipponese rollerskate, it gets you from A to B but without the expensive fuel habit. We prefer bikes, too, but we live 40 minutes drive from town. The bike is light enough for cruising around town and goes good on light trails around the lake.
... or even a choochoo. Can always mooch a lift from friends if there's one available. The limit is the imagination. That's when I hop on a plane, Jack or I rent a car.
lmao You sound just like Charles Emerson Winchester the 3rd from MASH when he was talking about Klinger behind his back.I used to be quite content to "hop on the plane". That was when I was not examined, harassed and irritated by swarthy characters, who are far more likely to be terrorists than I.
