Once again the Bankrupt US Government has found a way to pay triple the recent (17 million/yr) "rent money" we pay to Kyrgyzstan ( now 60 million,/yr) -a lil country NW of Afghanistan. Despite our own poor and medically needy at home. We additionally promise to build them more

runways, hangars, and new tracking systems etc. with an additional 30 million! Oh the price of war. We can all be assured that this same rent will NEVER be seen as aid for a- poor dirt country that has never even fondled that much cash!

If they are not just another Tribal country, let us just assume they are not a -democratically elected government- MAYBE a One party government, but that has NEVER stopped OUR cash from falling through cracks into somebodys pocket.

Looks like Obama ain't quite gonna be our Agent of Change after all, right? He just justifies it much more succinctly!

Oh, by the way Iraq AND Iran are BOTH potentially now in the crossfire of any US and Israeli weaponry. It is a also a very short shot to Pakistan should that become necessary. This is still a chess game, with the Saudi bases we currently "rent", we pretty much seal our hold in the area. Hear that Russia? And. At the same time we subtly let the the Saudi King know-
He 'arnt' the only piece on the board! So subtle.

Bluedog... are you off your rocker?

We are not even in Saudi Arabia any longer save for a handful of people. We don't rent anything from Saudi Arabia...at least anything of true significance.

Iran and Iraq are BOTH potentially in the crossfire of US and Israeli weaponry. I know that you have not kept up with current events but Iraq IS very much in the crossfire of US weaponry...

WE INVADED THE COUNTRY!

Israel has bombed Iraq before and we have always had a neat military platform called an aircraft carrier. The whole world is potentially in the cross fire.

"Off your rocker" the term originated in a German engine plant early in the first world war, it makes reference to sloppy pushrods in submarines engines which if not constantly adjusted would jump out of the valve rocker when load was applied to the engine. The problem was finally addressed by Rolf D Schmit who invented and developed hydraulic lifters. Tragicly he was killed in a freak accident in a submarine. The top bunk broke under the weight of three or four submarineers crushing Rolf, to death.
Aircraft carriers have been arround for a long time as a problem to solve. I bet they have zero chance in combat.

Sir, sorry but you did not include your rank.

Saudi Arabia has been our "Key Arab Ally " in the region for decades, we pay the King dutiful alms, for our largest air base in the region stationed there. Do you have the amount? I can look it up, no matter really. The LARGEST.

Warships can be called anywhere- perhaps N.Korea?

Sir, I have been keeping up with current events obviously, I posted this. Iran... AND Iraq, which we are currently pulling out of... ever so slowly, (causing more suicides recently than casualties I'm afraid he said with tongue firmly in cheek!) Iraq will be under ever increasing pressure when we pull out. If we ever do. The "Democratically elected" anti-US sentiment builds daily. Attention Syria.

Iran is a given
You did not address the Islamic Republic in Pakistan, which now holds nuclear weapons, but whom we have little to no control over thanks to the mullahs influence on the government- thus it is daily slipping from our hands.

Brother, I hope you are a lifer in "The Corps", we will be killing people in all directions for decades to come, ensuring you full employment. Such behavior is NOT the will of YOUR God brother, even if you are a Hebrew. It is merely the will of Our Politicians.
Brother, wait ten years... just see who gets that oil. Just how many lives will it cost?

Sir will do for now.

Please do. Please look up what we paid for using the largest airbase last year.

In the mean time "search" US Pulls out of Saudi Arabia and you may save yourself some trouble.

Warships can be called anywhere- perhaps N.Korea?

Why not...if need be.

Sir, I have been keeping up with current events obviously, I posted this.

No... you really haven't...seriously...you haven't. Just because you posted nonsense does not mean you have kept up with current events.

Two Key Examples...

1. Canada ALWAYS stays lock step with Britain

2. The US helped Saddam Hussein overthrow Iran's Khomeni by use of missles, nerve agents, and the US flew aircover.

A given? For what?

You're a given...I'm a given

How should I address them...what did you want me to address?

Are they within range of our military? Yes they are.

Brother, I hope you are a lifer in "The Corps", we will be killing people in all directions for decades to come, ensuring you full employment. Such behavior is NOT the will of YOUR God brother, even if you are a Hebrew. It is merely the will of Our Politicians.

Well I am not. Whose going to get the oil?

A Hominem attacks are the weakest form of attack, now...

As you enter Nebraska you will most likely see this road sign

You are now Entering

NEBRASKA

...Sorry

I did read up, I will stand corrected. Now. Will you?

Regards #1 --- I have already sincerely apologized for the "Lockstep" remark. You seem not to honor my effort.

Regards #2--- I admit I did go by the recent FOX news broadcast citing the Saudi's as our greatest ally. During their "bowing " problems. The USA did provide Iraq weapons, many, chemical and otherwise, ALONG with the Soviets and Western allies. These were to assist in the toppling of the Kohmeni regimen of Iraq years ago, but Saddam failed to do the job. We did then reconnaissance missions as well but Arab support in the region resulted in OUR (collective) defeat.

The Ad Hominem attacks leave me little to respond to, since they aren't worth noting when there are more important issues being discussed. You leave me little to address but I will try.

You failed to address the main tenor of the post, chess game for oil, at the expense of needs at home and reputation abroad, for Oil. You do seriously pick at small flaws. I will stand corrected the Saudis have been under pressure by their people and Osama bin Ladin to remove OUR open sore from their territory.
Yes, we have started moving operations to Qatar, a more friendly country, about which surprisingly:

" US officials will not discuss specifics, saying the Qatari government strictly limits what can be said about the American presence. There has been speculation that Al Udeid is being built up as an alternative to, or replacement for, the Combined Air Operations Center at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have made clear they do not favor a US invasion of Iraq."
and
"Al Udeid is among several US military bases in the Gulf area. Nearly 10,000 Army soldiers are at Camp Doha in Kuwait, and 4,200 troops are in Bahrain, headquarters for the Navy's Fifth Fleet. Several thousand are in Saudi Arabia and a few thousand in Oman."

US beefs up air base in Qatar | csmonitor.com
these numbers are no doubt low due to the fact the article is not up to date.

It is my understanding that these bases are to reinforce troop movements (very tired, suicidal, depressed, chess pieces, a perception also NOT addressed) they also stock weaponry of all sorts that I am sure will rearm those massive aircraft carriers, and see to the needs of any US troops as well as ANY representatives in the area. Maybe you, someday!
Sir, You still did not offer us a rank, so are we to assume probably- the minimal? A Job description could give us a clue. Please.

God Bless Canada! They are Much More Noble and Wise than we.

What issues? You have made up most of them and have dribbled false rants.

Talk to any? I doubt that.

they also stock weaponry of all sorts that I am sure will rearm those massive aircraft carriers, and see to the needs of any US troops as well as ANY representatives in the area. Maybe you, someday!

I told you...I'm out of the game.

Sir, You still did not offer us a rank, so are we to assume probably- the minimal? A Job description could give us a clue. Please.

As for the rank...you can call me Sir. Job description... 0311.

God Bless Canada! They are Much More Noble and Wise than we.

Which is why you are here right? To grovel for Canadians. Some Canadians in here will like you for that...others will think it is pathetic and will see you for what you are doing...blowing smoke up their a**. NOBODY likes a butt kisser.

Buedog: Fox news is rather like the polar opposite of the socialist worker daily. Neither one bothers much with abstracts like reality when it interferes with the message.

OK what? How much you going to bet? We can watch them sinking on TV at your place, you get the big boxes of beer and I'll bring the grass and tater crisps.Send the wife shopping for a few days, it'll be a hoot.

Aircraft carriers have been in combat. Not one has been sunk since WWII.
