It's just sort of sad the USA has given us all such a bad rep we have to refer to ourselves by our respective countries just so the rest of the world knows we aren't from that country.

That's not unique. Few people from England refer to themselves by their continent, few South Americans either. Most people refer to their country of origin, and I don't know anyone who objects to being referred to by their continent here either... North American.

BS.

It has nothing to do with the anti-American sentiment that has risen to dwell in a bunch of petty, jealous idiots who spend their time looking for reasons to resent others.

Which explains why so many "Americans" call themselves Canadian when traveling abroad; because they are "petty, jealous idiots who spend their time looking for reasons to resent others."

Absolutely, they are actually likely to point out they aren't from the continent.

few South Americans either.

That's good because they aren't from England and would be silly claiming it.

My point exactly.

My mistake, I thought your point was that it's the fault of those from the United States of America that we clarify... "It's just sort of sad the USA has given us all such a bad rep we have to refer to ourselves by our respective countries just so the rest of the world knows we aren't from that country"

But clearly it's a global phenomena.

Many Americans pretend to be Canadian when abroad!

I mean that speaks volumes IMO of why we don't all call ourselves "American."

You perhaps. Not me. I'm just damn anal, and I'm not American, I'm North American. lol.

And, clarifying that I'm Canadian has to do with my love of my own country, not my dislike for someone else's. If all Canada had going for it was that it's not the US, I doubt I'd call myself anything BUT North American.

BS.

People have referred to themselves/others by their nationality for centuries. Citizens of the USA have been called Americans ever since their revolution because it was the easiest adjective to come up with from their country's name, the United States of America. It doesn't lend itself as easily to it as Rome, Greece, China, Egypt, Poland, England, France et al. It has nothing to do with the anti-American sentiment that has risen to dwell in a bunch of petty, jealous idiots who spend their time looking for reasons to resent others.

Most of the victims of American (yankee) imperialism don't have to spend any time at all looking for reasons to hate loath and detest America and Americans, seriously, it's just the dwindling herd of deluded like yourself who think and preach to the effect that there is something of America (yanks) worthy of our emulation, there isn't, get over it find some new national obcession because a totalitarian USA isn't going to be pretty or kind or intact in the end. In these times wulfie68, perhaps more than at any other recent time, we will all be judged by the company we keep and the crap we espouse. No one in thier right mind would be jealous of the worlds most corrupt evil nation ever. I would have picked Israel but scale prevailed. It may still be a tie.

I'd be North American Irish, I think. Usually the only time I say I am Canadian is when someone asks where I am (on the net) and don't understand British Columbia. lol

Canadian Ku Klux Klan fighting for America

Hmm... As the Canadian Ku Klux Klan we are able to demonstrate the power of what can happen when we bring God with us to the table supporting our continent America. Basically, and simple minded speaking there is no way in hell you as American's are taking America without a fight.

Now, having said this are you able to fight peacefully when God is in our right as we believe so true that America is not for sale?

Canada, we love America so please let's not waiver ourselves to the U.S. . .

I'm a citizen of planet Earth. I recognize no arbitrary lines drawn on a map, no government (corporate entity). There is only one race on this planet, the human race. I believe every one of us is responsible for ourselves and every other living creature that shares this planet with us. We are not superior to anything or anybody. We just another strand in the web of life (a strand, mind you, with a massive ego).

We may be intellectually superior to monkeys but is that a good thing? A quick look around would indicate that it is not (the garbage heap we create). We can't agree on anything, we ignore the sings of our own demise and we are petty and selfish. We have little to be proud of and have created almost no beauty. We strive to be greater but usually fall short, but we may be progressing.

Can I ask some honest personal questions for the Americans on Canadian Content?

1. Do you have to force yourself to believe your American? Or, does it truly come naturally?

2. Do you think your any bit less than American because of people saying that the U.S. is not America?

and one more please..

3. Will you honestly vouch in God's name, even to the bible that you are truthfully and honestly Americans as God intended?

Never gave it a second thought, I am an American.
2. Do you think your any bit less than American because of people saying that the U.S. is not America?
No, because I know they are wrong.

I repeat are you soft?

Canada has the KKK? Is this guy claiming to be a KKK member or am I missing something?

He doesn't really speak in a manner that I find coherent, so, I hadn't challenged him on it lest I'd missed some kind of joke. But, yes, he seems to be claiming to be KKK.
