It's not. In Canada you have to prove damages in order to collect damages. Unless it can be shown that a quantifiable ($$$) amount of damage was done, there is no grounds for a suit.
He has ruined e-cred though, that has to be worth big bucks me would think. I had my CanCon nickname estimated at $400,000. :smile:
not only would this have to be said, but you would also have to prove a loss of income as a result. in other words, you could say that, but if the "victim" doesn't lose patients as a result, tough luck.
lol... it reminds me of my stay in the hospital last month. One of the women was constantly moaning and groaning and, for lack of a better description, performing and looking for pity. When I offered ear plugs to the tenants of the room, the third occupant accepted them, and we both wished eachother a wonderful night's sleep, while the complainer looked at us like we'd just ruined her favourite game.
Confining the fun to one thread, or keeping it between the two, just won't do it. Instead, the forum must be held hostage, histrionics must be carried out across all conversations, and the administration must be threatened into 'suitable' action, for people to feel their moans and groans have been adequately heard.

This thread disproves the theory of evolution. That a group of supposed adults would act like a gang of school yard bullies and endlessly trash somebody they think is inferior to them only shows their own insecurities and does nothing to improve their own credibility. It is a sad commentary on where our society is headed - from the halls of higher education to the grade school sand box. I hope you are all proud.
It also proves some folk take themselves wa-aa-ay too seriously.
Oh give me a break. I see a whole two posts, three if you count me critiquing Cannuck's brand of apology, that attacked a person. The there were some that criticized actions and assertions. But the BULK of this thread is people making light of its supposed seriousness.
If you want to talk about higher education, expect to have actions like the supposed e-mail, and the OP, made fun of in the 'real world', no matter what level of school they take place in. In the sandbox they might actually get taken seriously. Here, not so much.
Wow, you need to take a step back if you feel this thread is somehow a commentary on where society is heading.
With that said, I will be calling you as my next witness in the case of "the bruised e-cred"
