The Capitals need a goaltender. Varlamov has had his moments but he's inconsistent, and the Pens have too much talent on their roster to give them weakness. Ovechkin (10G, 7A in the playoffs) and Crosby (9G, 7A in the playoffs) have been outstanding: neither one deserves to lose this series, its a shame one will (I think it will be Ovie for the lack of support from the rest of the Caps). The winning goal was a lucky bounce but that's part of hockey, just as posts and crossbars are.
Vancouver... what can you say? They played with fire again. To beat the 'Hawks you need to play 60 minutes not 35 or 40. Calgary did this with Chicago too and we all know where the Flames are now...

Varlamov is a 21 year old rookie goaltender. I think he will be fine. He is the reason they even got to the second round, so deserves to keep playing.
(This should make talloola very happy.;-))
Detroit won 4-1 today and are now one victory away from knocking off Anaheim. It really is amazing how Anaheim had the chance to put the knockout blow to Detroit, but they weathered the storm and have looked great the past two games. Detroit is getting scary again.
2-0 for Boston right now. I hope they can keep it up and beat Carolina tonight(and the series too!).
Yes, Detroit is becoming very much like they were last year and Anaheim is
beginning to wilt under the pressure. Yeah, that does make me happy, but
lets see how anaheim play the next game, hope it's their last.
Boston played awsome today, made carolina look ordinary, maybe because they
were fighting elimination, they came to life.
Boston played like last night like they should have the three games before. They need to maintain the same intensity or they are gone.
No team has jumped right out of the starting gate and taken hold of a series, and yeah I know canucks swept the first series, but those were tough games,
and we didn't know the outcome till very late in the games.
Detroit seems to be doing it at the moment, but it still could swing the other
way.
I have a good feeling about tonight, Canucks are historically achievers when their backs are right against the wall, came back twice from 3/1 against both Cgy. and Winnipeg years ago.

but, this is now, not years ago, completely different team, has nothing to do
with calgary or winnipeg.
we have to get the first goal, like we have in most games.
we will have to play better, than we have been, as chicago are playing better
than they were, they have improved throughout this series, we haven't.
If we do look like we have the game under control, we have to play the
last period under control, and don't lose our 'brains' as we did last game.
Who is going to score for us tonight, any suggestions?
Just trust me talloola. :lol::lol:
My predictions....Round two....Chi over Van in 7
I was close. Now is not the time to say I told you so. I just want to point it out.
