Yes Hugo is the man – that is if you are against any type of democracy or civil rights –for intimidation – both violent and peaceful – He is that man – How did you arrive at a handle like Logic 7 as your opinion is beyond logic – more along hysteria and hate. Have you ever opened a history book?

I think Hugo chavez knows more about civil rights and democracy than you ever wish to.

All i can say to you , stop watching tv, at least you could make your own opinion.

How do you explain, that the cia try to overthrow chavez in a violent way , in 2002?

Does the cia comes from a democracy?

How in the hell you could explain that?

Secret Squirrel is planning to overthrow the Republic of Quebec too. Contingency plans are in the nature of the game....

Hugo spoke about that the CIA were attempting to overthrow him – but alas no proof – But then again it has been documented where Good Old Boy Hugo has been supporting FARC –
Now with oil down and funds drying up how long before the demonstrations start and he as his type does resorts to force.

Show me the money – Put some meat on those bones – lead us to the Promised Land – Oh yeah.

Of course he support the farc, it is a resistance movement, however the cia was behind that coup, you better get your facts straight, if you want me to take you seriously.

The failed coup in Venezuela was closely tied to senior officials in the US government, The Observer has established. They have long histories in the 'dirty wars' of the 1980s, and links to death squads working in Central America at that time.

The Bush administration has tried to distance itself from the coup. It immediately endorsed the new government under businessman Pedro Carmona. But the coup was sent dramatically into reverse after 48 hours.

Now officials at the Organisation of American States and other diplomatic sources, talking to The Observer, assert that the US administration was not only aware the coup was about to take place, but had sanctioned it, presuming it to be destined for success.

FARC
A resistance movement – A drug cartel is more appropriate – And Chavez denies providing any material support to FARC – or did that point escape you.

Sorry Socrates, but after Trudeau and Mackenzie King, Pearson is the most over-rated PM in our history....IMHO.[/quot

It's be tough finding a right wing leader who had any real impact in the last 50 yrs. It be tough finding a conservative in the last 50 yrs....:lol:

That is true, as Canadians (I assume we are talking about Canada here) is a pretty middle-of-the-road kinda country..........which may explain why there hasn't even been a right-wing party in the Federal Legislatire in 30 years anyway, nor a real left-wing party either, just a variety of middle parties, from Reform to the NDP.

Reform promoted universal health care and a social safety net.....hardly hard core right wing.

The NDP support free enterprise.....hardly very far left........although I'd say they were further from the middle than Reform ever considered being.....

Everyone happily in the middle.

And you would put "who" over them and what were their accomplishments?

John A Macdonald, who created the nation damned near single handedly.

Wilfred Laurier........who dragged us into the 20th Century......

Louis St Laurent strikes me as having been very competent.

Since then.....well....NOBODY!!!!

Absolutely nobody.

It is such a shame.

Joe Clark was the best- he didn't stay long enough to make an A hole of himself.

And the Cia was behind 2002 coup, that is something you cant refute, now have a good day, and next time , do your homework.

United States
Dwight was put in charge of the European command after all the allies could not decide who would lead. The U.S. pretty much assigned the Army Air Corps and Army mainly to Europe. The Navy and Marine Corps and some Army units took care of the central Pacific. Those units of the Army that did fight against Japan early in the war pretty much fought a holding action along with our allies. We had a big army and could handle the two fronts.
