You work for free do you? I'll hire you.The problem is with people thinking they have owed something for just showing
up to a job they are lucky enough to have.

Lucky enough to have a job? What vacum do you live in? This is Canada, unemployment rates are one fiveth of the employment rate even durinf recessions. I dont need luck to have a job, when you lay me off and wish me good luck, i have the wisdom to say ' you keep it, it looks likethis company needs it more than i do'The problem is with people thinking they have owed something for just showing up to a job they are lucky enough to have.
Most successful companies and small business dont have to negotiate "agreements" with their employees and employees dont get "agreements" when they join the company...THEY GET A JOB!!!!
Just like in everyday life, respect isnt something that is given because of time served or just because you are breathing. It is earned. If you are good at what you do, if you have skills that shine and a work ethic that goes above and beyond you will get noticed, there will be rewards (promotion, responsibilites, training, rises etc).
This works in reverse for the business too. they dont want to have to continually retrain ...if you are good at what you do they want to retain! It is beneficial to all successful companies that they have strong, smart and empowered employees. I am sorry but Unions (even if they are endevouring to have good intentions representing their flock), just have a "them and us" mentality and that will only damage or stiffle any success.....
just my 10c....

It's a conference, the 52nd Western Fish Disease workshop at the Vancouver Island Convention Center. One day of continuing education focused on bacterial kidney disease, and then two days of plenary session.
This is what we used to call a wobbly pop peeler convention. 15% Theory 85% Waaaaaaaaaasted!
Keep your Visa in the Ice-Box Ton.
So in other words you no idea what is going on and just felt like spewing non-sense?
Economies aren't in dire straights because of workers is it?
Are all economies in "dire straights" or are others booming, with people running to them to earn a lving while in the meantime adding to the workloads of those who haven't seen a raise in 3 years who where there during the hard times and took their pains years ago for the good of the people?
If you won't work for free can I up your workload and and tell you to kiss my ass if you want an extra nickel?
I just love bull**** stories. Far more entertaining than faeries and gnomes.
Air Canada has customer service?
