Your personal death. People have been waiting for the end of days for 2000 years. Every year is going to be THE year. The problem lies with people's interpretation of biblical prophesy. 99% of Christians and Muslims have no idea where their books came from or why they were translated the way they are. The bible was written, translated and interpreted by men and subject to the failings of men. It is a waste of time to be waiting for the end because you miss out on living in the present. There is only now. The past is a bad memory and the future is a dream. Be here now is the only thing that makes sense.

Yep, I think the answer is to live for now with an eye to making things better for future- that's why I think a guy should piss away 80% of his money while putting aside 20% for the future.:)

O Cliffy this is your misunderstanding from religious beliefs . I don't want to speak about religions ( however I'm Muslim ) but all of us know this point " we won't be alive forever " so we try to find a solution for this gap . some people trying to forgot death , as you said they want to enjoy from present . and of course it's true but they'll Often go overboard ... this circulation will be repeated tomorrow and the problem is here ; we don't have programm for our lives . but religions give us a defined programm . in this programm you can enjoy from this world but you should know , you have greater goal and that's your afterlife . that doesn't mean you can't live in present .

"Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days." (James 5:1-3 NIV)

James joins Paul and Peter in referencing "the last days". To what do they refer?

Isn't sarcasm one of the deadly sins?

"There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power." (2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV)

Sarcasm is veiled mockery, ridicule or criticism, Cliffy. It is a sign of the times.
