Nuts. Yeah, good idea, turn off the lights and watch tv.

Why do you include the Pyramids with the Vegas strip and Broadway?
RanchHand, that is easy. This is to show that many countries in the world are participating in the earth hour, not just USA.
Most of the world is participating? SirJoe says the organizers are shooting for one billion, a pretty meaningless statement. Even if they got that many, do 'ya think it's most of the world?
RanchHand, if one billion people participate that is most of the developed world. The developing world does not come into it. They already consume a lot less resources than the developed world (per person). Many parts of developing world do not even have electricity.
So it wouldn’t make sense to talk of developing world in this context (electricity consumption). When I said most of the world, I meant most of the developed world, where substantial amount of greenhouse emission takes place.
So Messiah isn’t an insult.
But even if it was, there is nothing wrong with it; it is perfectly acceptable to insult public figures.
While we're at it. let's avoid anything water-based so we can make a statement about halting the tides too ... and look west so the sun will rise from that direction. Climate change is inevitable. It's an Earth cycle and would happen whether man is on this planet or not. I have a cigarette lighter. Will y'all bow to my feet if I make fire? If I tell you when the next lunar eclipse will be, does that make me God?
Wow! A man made global warming denier. Somebody who admits there is global warming, but denies that humans have anything to do with it. Everyone can have their own opinion, but I can't see how pumping 8 trillion tons of carbon dioxide, a known greenhouse gas into the atmosphere, can have no effect.
Just silly.
You present this up front. When you wait until your challenged, which you habitually do, it would be impossible for anyone to not come up with a way to wiggle out.

Nothing new, Juan.... I've been saying it all along. I've also been saying that man's addition may have made it come a little faster or may not have. I don't suppose an inter glacial period has ever actually been measured.
Frankly, I think the Church of Global Warmers overestimates the power of man.
I may join the light dimmers ... but more to deny Hydro an hour of sales....
Hey Wolf
I won't try to convince you, but what convinces me, is that since the start of the industrial revolution, we've pumped over eight trillion tons of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. As the level of carbon dioxide level rose, so rose the global temperatures. I can't believe it is a coincidence. Since I turned seventy, it is not my problem anymore.....It's my kid's problem...;-)
