It becomes increasingly clear that Zimmerman should never have been charged.

The prosecutors were right in their initial decision.

All the rest has been a political witch hunt.

Who initiated the confrontation? Who shot the kid? Who fabricated scenarios?

Irrelevant, but just for fun we'll deal with your questions anyway..

Approaching someone on the street to talk to them is NOT illegal, although by listening to the idiots trying to lynch Zimmerman, you would think it was a felony.

Besides, Zimmerman had broken off any pursuit. That is clear in the 9-11 cal, when he says "He ran"., and then continues talking to the dispatcher in a calm voice with regular breathing......he was not chasing the kid.

Zimmerman shot the kid, in what increasingly appears to be self-defense..........

And the only fabricated scenarios I have heard have come from Sharpton and his fans. Everything Zimmerman has said seems to be borne out by the evidence........

Who attacked who?

The ONLY relevant question.

Zimmerman photo bolsters self-defense claim

Hmmmm I guess the poor innocent kid isn't as innocent as some would have us think.

Below a photo of George Zimmerman's head taken only minutes after he shot and killed 17
year-old Trayvon Martin.

It would seem that perhaps this young fellow might have put a beating on Zimmerman before he was
shot.

But then again, we should lynch Zimmerman because he shot a defenseless unarmed kid.

I'll be watching this case a little closer now.

Assuming this is valid evidence, Zimmerman will still have to prove he was attacked and engaged in self defense. The fact that he needlessly followed someone when he was told the cops would handle it will be held against him at trial for instigation.

It looks like he as wearing a hat. It could be the kid's blood for all we know.

Re: Zimmerman photo bolsters self-defense claim

Legally, George Zimmerman has presumption of innocence. The prosecutors have to prove he wasn't standing his ground. If reasonable doubt exists then he should not be convicted. If this evidence is legit, it doesn't help their case. IMuO if Zimmerman didn't back off as directed by 911, this could be negligent homicide, even if he was attacked.

I hope Zimmerman gets a fair trial.

Well according to the news source the individual who took the picture (not Zimmerman) saw the two struggling on the ground and that Trayvon Martin was beating Zimmerman's head off a curb. It was also added that there was gunpowder residue on the hoody that Trayvon Martin was wearing which would also back up his claim that it was self defence and that he was fighting for his life.

Thus far what I have seen is a rush to judgment by members of the media, political figures and even members of this board. I doubt that Zimmerman will get a fair trial, because it is starting to look very much like charges have been laid based on appeasement rather than the facts. Even the POTUS weighed in on this and I'm guessing he might well wished he hadn't.

The fact that Zimmerman was involved physically may lend some credence that at the time he pulled the trigger he was afraid for his life but the big issue that still isn't addressed in all this and the one he has to overcome to exonerate himself is why did he disregard the advice of the 911 operator?

The fact of the matter is Trayvon Martin was 17 years old and now he is dead for no real reason. What did he do that was punishable by death? Zimmerman still assumes a lot of responsibility in this entire sequence of events even if what he says about Martin beating on his is true.

I disagree.
