That doesn't answer the question. The question was why is the will of the people "just". "The will of the people" can vote in a government that will cut subsidies to public transit or it can vote in a government that makes it illegal for women to show their faces in public. There's a big difference. Democracy does not make right.
I don't berate anybody. I just make fun of idiotic statements. If you feel berated, may I suggest you stop making idiotic statements. To give you a pointer, it might help if you took the time to find out what people's positions are before you comment on them. That way you probably won't feel "berated" when I make fun of your comments. No need to thank me. Your edification is more than enough for me.

I do not know anybody who asked for this dept. It seems to me that it was hoisted on us by politicians thinking they could buy votes. Sure Tommy Douglas sold us a utopian image of share and share alike, kinda like they teach in kindergarten. But blaming a generation or even two on this mess is a little like the old trick of pointing a finger at someone else only to find three more pointing back at you.
