Really . Why do CTV , Global and others all March in lock step with the CBC ? Right , free ( borrowed ) money from the Government of Canada . The CBC is not necessary any longer and is simply another liberal mouthpiece .

CBC is losing staff, viewers, but also its purpose

"Through this slow descent, through the unforgivable stress endured by employees one brutal layoff after the next, the crown corporation has become a blank canvas upon which cheerleaders and haters fling gobs of self-righteous paint.

But lost in the abstract chaos is the CBC’s own voice. It’s a problem to always be told what you should be. It’s a bigger problem to not know what you are.

After wandering without a map for a long time, CBC is at a crossroads.

It needs to find a place for itself in Canada’s shifting broadcast landscape. It needs to write a happier ending for itself by giving viewers something to care about before they stop caring at all."

Pretty much on point about what? That you'll believe any load of leftist shit despite the total lack of details? How about telling us who owns what instead of pretending there's some massive Conservative conspiracy.

The fact is in North America around 80% of the news media is populated by liberals and those farther left. THAT is an indisputable fact.
Oh, and you don't find foreigners trustworthy? What a f*cking racist piece of shit.
Do you also distrust those foreign agitators who attack our O&G sector, our logging sector, our dairy sector, and the the rest of our resource sectors? Somehow I get the feeling you approve.

CBC, like many. many other media outlets, has its biases to be sure, but they do not lie. That's the big issue these days. Biases can be filtered easily enough by cultivating multiple sources and winnowing out relevant facts and common threads. The trend towards outright lyine and misinformation is something you have to be on the lookout for, and way too many are not looking out. Making impartant decisions based on some unsupported, unvetted blip on facebook? Really really stupid. The smart money isn't betting on a single source these days.

That being said, people who will write off a credible source simply because they don't agree with their politics is more likely than not making decisions based on bad information. Sure, some of these people don't care, and some just don't know any better, but if your intonation is to get good information you need multiple sources, time and a brain.
