Are you starting to realize how stupid you're sounding? Da-aa-mn it took a while to break through

No, I'm hoping the three of you can actually muster something worth debating.

Right now it's just fluff.

Here's a thought. She should commit Seppuku before the Donald comes for her. It will be less messy.
She can't. She doesn't have the cultural ability to understand it. Most she could do is suicide.

By the way, did you suggest the same for Romney in 2012?

So it begins.

Wynne ‘worried’ about Trump threat to Ontario economy

A “shocked” premier Kathleen Wynne is expressing hope U.S. president-elect Donald Trump’s anti-trade rhetoric was just campaign bluster.

Speaking to the Star on Wednesday, Wynne said she is “worried” about Trump’s threat to rip up the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that is so vital to Ontario’s economy.

“My biggest fear … is the trade relationship,” the premier said, mindful the United States is far and away the province’s most important trading partner accounting for 80.5 per cent of Ontario exports.

“The degree that this undermines a North American strategy, I think we have to worry about that,” said Wynne, noting Ontario’s thriving auto industry is so entwined with that of Michigan they are interdependent.

The premier also said she was concerned about the impact of a Trump presidency and a Republican Congress on efforts to tackle climate change because the incoming president has claimed global warming is a “Chinese hoax” perpetrated to hobble American manufacturing.

“We’ve made a lot of progress on the climate change discussion globally and if we’ve got a president who really doesn’t see the importance of that, it puts so much at risk,” she said.

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Ontario has entered into a cap-and-trade system with Quebec and California that other states and provinces could join.

“Those sub-national relationships become even more important,” she said, adding national governments are also essential to the crusade.

Stop complaining and start doing. Start free trade talks with the UK, Russia, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, for starters. Promote deeper trade with Mexico and Cuba too. Look to India and Hong Kong too, same with Taiwan, South America, etc.

I hope that she is worried and I think Ottawa should be worried as well. The Liberal's plan to bring 420,000 immigrants /per year starting next in 2017; all whilst the majority of Canadians (old stock and new stock) have not had a raise in years is playing into the hands of a dispirited population ! How can you reconcile the two, and try to convince your existing population that one is not effecting the other!! People are not stupid and are fed up with the status quo, clearly shown in the US, and the sentiment is alive and well here as well. Failed promises and taxes no longer sit well with people.

Anti-free-trade is one of those things that won it for The Donald. Free trade has destroyed western economies while bolstering 3rd world countries and people have had enough. They are tired of watching their decent living-wage jobs go overseas and being left with part-time work at Tim Hortons. Any leader promoting free trade from here on is basically killing their career.

Exporting industry to lesser tax and ecofascist penalized countries has killed ON and the north eastern US manufacturing and industry.

We have the most talented workforce in the world and it's going to waste.

Look what it gave us in the 40's 50's 60's and 70's. Must be horrible for the lefties to think about working families affording a home and car and vacations on a single income and not giving 75% of their income to support those like you living off the govt t!t.

After WWII, there was a lot of reconstruction going on worldwide. It was a rebuilding period.

Vietnamese steel is flooding the market yet what are Vietnamese ecofascist obligations?

Not here and it didn't take as long as today to build something. Zero safety and antiquated building codes.

Part of that reconstruction also involved catching up on family building in a post-war baby boom.
