The question was directed more to a conventional definition of the words. conservatism meaning to keep things the way they are, liberalism representing changing the way things are.

Understand, Friend. Both political philosophies are of human origin and corrupt. There is no corruption in Christ.

Peace that passes understanding and eternal prosperity to you and yours, LL.

Yeah I hear that. Despite the words , if you live by the sword, you will also die by the sword. Funny how that one gets disregarded,
I have a parallel philosophy in Texas hold'em POKER: live by the river, die by the river.

Speaking of poker, would Jesus bluff? Or would He only play the nuts?

Conservative or liberal.... Labels are so non-descriptive and usually not correct. Today we have people who call a manual transmission a standard - even though they're not the norm and quite optional

Politics is about what "we" do.

Christianity, in its best and original form, is about what you, as an individual, do.

Might wanna review your life on that standard.

Matthew 25: 31-46.

The question seemed to come up in my head when I thought of the term "bleeding heart" liberal Even though your answer has little to do with the question, it's an interesting passage none the less. Do we help people out of the fear of consequences of neglecting them?, or do we help people out of a natural empathy or compassion. ? Anyways, I didn't figure on getting much opinion on this and I think I was right.
