Nobody came up with a 'reasonable explanation' for the massive increase in childbirths starting in 1880, in just 10 years (1880-1900) the population increased by 3.2M while in the previous 40 years (1840-1880) the population only increased by about the same amount. 1900-1914 saw a gain of 2.5M and the next 20 years saw another 2.5M added. 8.3M in 58 years for a rate of 142,448/year. In the 80 years before that there was an increase of 65,475/year. In the 60 years following WWII there was an increase of 35,521/yr. Go ahead big mouth explain why those years that were not so great in Europe saw their population increase at such a dramatic rate.
