So how do you feel about being "Rescued" by the US and becoming a colony... or maybe the 52nd state?
As I said 15 or 20 some years ago, Canada should have never put all their eggs in one basket with the US and spread trade more to other nations. But since the US is close proximity and lower transport costs, the government continued to put the nation at risk.... Both Harper and Justin, and all PMs that came before.

And Trump is a perfect example of what I've said all along, though a more extreme example than what I was expecting all those years ago. Sure, it's all bluster coming from that fk'n blow hard, but look at what he's already done with distractions from more important issues.

The reality is that the US could never take over Canada. The reasons why are extensive, which is why all this talk is nothing but hot air and a clear distraction..... Yet these BS stunts from the soon to be leader of the US should not go unpunished and Canada should take all of this as a hard lesson to start making deals elsewhere.

Now is the time for both Mexico and Canada to look into joining BRICS and once done, tell the US to take a flying Fk sideways into a cactus. With that, and China planning to ban all precious metal exports to the US, we'll all see how weak the US really is and how they depend on their allies more than their allies rely on them. They will not only have their population and country crippled and thrown into chaos, but that massive global military they boast about will implode in on itself "The likes of which we've never seen before" as Trump proclaims about everything.

And I have responded to you for 15 to 25 years that in a free country like Canada you are able to produce and sell your product anywhere . What is stopping you ?

Trade Agreements

Which make it easier, with less barriers, and possibly lower costs in exporting and trading with other nations for businesses than there would be without. Pretty basic stuff.

Trade deals with other countries can make it easier and cheaper for exporters and importers to expand their trade beyond current means and thereby increase overall profits. Otherwise, why bother with trade deals between nations and just let the little guys figure it all out?

Not sure why this is difficult to understand, or are you trying to toss out random questions for some sort of Gotcha?

I guess it's been a few years since I posted in here and you forgot who you're talking to.

Have you ever imported or exported goods?

Trade deals consist of what? Tarrifs and no tarrifs status?

If we went BRICS, would we lose Most-Favoured-Nation (MFN) Tariff status with the US or more countries than US like the EFTA preferential origin if EU says fuck anybody BRICS?

Whaf happens to the CAD if status lost? Do you have $15K for an I phone?

Yes? No?

Not at all . Ever since PET our Canadian government has been trying to have our trade diversified , shit we even changed to the metric system to help foster worldwide trade . Funny we still have the United States as our major trading partner , something to do with geography.
But it still stands that if you have a product or service the world wants you can sell that product most places you can find a buyer . All the trade deals mean squat if there is no one to buy your product .

We have a pacific, European, commonwealth, North American trade agreements and yet only the USA is the country that signed major contracts with us. Don't forget the Chinese trade agreement was put on hold until they can get their oil
