At present there are approximately 326,484,047 people living in the United States.

Last year two of them were proven to make a false claim of hate crime.

I'm sorry, but that is hardly a common occurrence

I'd bet that there were more false claims of police brutality against Transgendered Southern Baptists with hair lips last year.
There are 30 million plus Canadians . A very small percentage have met their end on the highway of tears ,should we hold an inquiry ?

Really? You're comparing the murder of indigenous woman to fake hate crimes?

I'm not saying the woman shouldn't be punished. I'm with everyone on that. All false accusers should be punished. I'm just saying that it is not a regular occurrence as purported by the Jinentonix.

By the way, I don't support hate crime legislation. I think it's stupid and divisive.

It's nice to see people who commit crimes like these punished. More oft than not, they go unpunished.

I tend to agree.

She lied, she was punished. In what way is this not a good story?

I am pleased that an individual that pulled this stunt was identified as being dishonest.

For myself, the biggest problem is that there was a tangible risk that an innocent person stood the chance of having their life turned upside down due to the dishonesty of another.

To that ends, the secondary interest that exists is summed-up very well by Petros... We will never know, but it is an interesting question all the same

Yup, she cried wolf and got pinched. I'd love to know what her intent was and what drove her to do it.

Not really at all , I was just commenting on the percentages .

One small amount of native women being raped and murdered as opposed to a small amount of hate crimes .
There are to many of both but they really are only small percentages .

I love how people are now rationalizing Islamist.. well it's just a small percentage of the population... oh, but it's 90% of white folks who are terrorist in the USA.

"There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world today. Of course not all of them are radicals. The majority of them are peaceful people. The radicals are estimated to be between 15-25% according to all intelligence services around the world.

"That leaves 75% of [Muslims being] peaceful people. But when you look at 15-25% of the world's Muslim population, you're looking at 180 million to 300 million people dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization. That is as big as the United States."

This was stated by Brigitte Gabriel, which can also be seen at

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry3NzkAOo3s

Christian Science Monitor claimed to debunk this claim, saying;

"Is this figure accurate? Not according to Angel Rabasa, who is a senior political scientist at the RAND corporation. While conducting research for his latest book, "Euro Jihad," he found that Western European intelligence agencies estimate that less than one percent of the Muslim population living within their borders are at risk for becoming radicals" (How many Muslim extremists are there? Just the facts, please. - CSMonitor.com).

I love how you spew hatred.

The only good Muslim is a dead Muslim.

No, you were drawing a comparison in an attempt to challenge my position. The fact is: I was not defending the Hijab wearing Hate Crime Liar, I was simply stating that the individual was wrong in stating that it is a regular occurrence. It is not and to say so is not factual.

This is what happens when we challenge a point of view based on facts.

I love how you defend an ideology that would love to see nothing more than another dead Canadian Soldier, or American.

...and you call yourself a Soldier.

Not all Muslim's defend this ideology. What of them, Boomer? Should they be killed too. Why not just insert N_gger, it's the same thing.

I found it kind of odd since I've heard countless soldiers say the exact same thing.

I heard the same thing about Oka, but I did not throw all aboriginals into the mix.

I find generalizations repugnant.

So did I.

I still hear stuff like that, all the time. I kind of get the reasoning behind it.

I hear stuff like that too. I do and I don't get the reasoning. Some of the anger is justified, but some is just plain ignorance.

I find many, including the one cite, based on some tangible evidence.

It's subjective. I'm not a defender of Islam. I think my history here will back that up. I am not a fan of generalizations, because it harkens back to guys like Adolf.

As to my service being challenged by someone like Boomer. "An admitted Talk Radio Masturbation Deviate."

I am unscathed.

That's why we punish such misdeeds (or at least, why we should).

To that ends, the secondary interest that exists is summed-up very well by Petros... We will never know, but it is an interesting question all the same
I can't really say I care (nothing wrong with you caring, if you choose). People do stupid, dangerous stuff quite literally all the time. I've got better things to do than contemplate their motives.

I love how you defend an ideology that would love to see nothing more than another dead Canadian Soldier, or American.

And he was. Which is worth a hundred thousand internet heroes who yap about what hard men they are, but when the chance came to serve their countries, couldn't be bothered.
