Woman has complete meltdown after missing B.C. ferry

A video out of British Columbia has gone viral showing a woman losing her temper upon learning her ship had sailed.
Shared by the Facebook page Spotted in Victoria, the video shows an unidentified woman shrieking and stomping her way out of a BC Ferries terminal after being denied access to her boat.
The words, “You have no feeling for people!” can be made out through the woman’s screams.
The post says her tantrum was due to the vessel being full, but according to CTV, who contacted BC Ferries, the woman in fact missed her boarding time by three minutes.
The video was posted Monday. Pavitar Sidhu, who runs Spotted in Victoria, told CTV it was taped New Year’s Eve.
“I think a lot of us can sympathize with the woman for being upset in that scenario since I'm certain we've all had similar experiences,” Pavitar said. “But it's 2015, and someone recorded it.”

I once showed up 4 minutes late for my reservation (still early for the sailing) and the booth lady went on a tirade. I eventually told her to f-off, the boat wasn't even half full at sailing let alone when I showed up.

I took one of those ferries last week. Over $200 return. Ridiculous. Bring on the bridge.

I have no sympathy for people who take out their rage at their inability to plan on those have no control over the rules put in place.

I imagine that this video has made the poor worker who was screamed at feel a bit better about their experience.

If you missed your reservation time but the boat was half full WTH are you complaining about (other than a measly $15 you threw away by being lazy)?

Set me straight.

BC Ferry... where does it go? How often?

It was NY Eve... think she missed a big party?

Between Vancouver mainland and vancouver island and the gulf islands. They leave approx every other hour with extra sailings on busy days at different times. You can buy tickets to walk on (as this lady attempted to do) approx. 10 before sailing. I think she didn't stock on on pamprin.

So do you think she just had to wait for the next one?

NY Eve... I bet she had plans on the mainland and now they were put behind for at least two hours.

yep! It was still daylight outside (it starts to get dark here about 4) so ...she had plenty of opportunity to catch another. Clearly missed her medication as well as the ferry.

I have to say... behavior like this fascinates me. When people reach that breaking point... when in their minds screaming out in rage is the correct thing to do.

Check out this guy!

how satisfying would it have been to have him stand on the runway and watch the plane leave BEFORE ushering him inside?

So satisfying!

Can you believe the arrogance and absolute selfishness though.

Obviously he was being a jerk.

"Sir, Do not allow the plane to leave... do not allow the plane to leave... I want to file harassment charges on that man and that woman."

As if there is a shred of possibility that he is going to hold up the plane any longer.

I wasn't complaining, she was. It made no sense. Who really if I was late, except her. I couldn't listening to her bullshyt any more.

Thinking back on that situation it was a complete cluster. With me was my wife and 7 year old daughter who we were taking to children's hospital. After listening to her tirade while processed the payment she handed me the ticket and it showed a charge for 3 adults. I told her my daughter was 7. She says to me CARD! I didn't know what she meant. Then barks at me I NEED YOUR CARD! I hand her back my Visa. She rips it out of my hand and proceeds ranting in various corners of her booth. Then had me signing all kinds of refund paperwork while continuing her tirade. My wife is looking at with the 'this woman is nuts' look. She sticks the card back out the window and I begin driving away when she sticks her head out the booth and yells ASSWHOLE! I'm not making this up. That's when I backed the car up to her window and her to go fck herself.

It was an experience beyond comprehension.

Great story Kreskin!

I remember driving on the Jersey Turnpike and some change dropped out of the Toll Taker's hand and onto the ground. I said sorry even though it was a mutual drop.

As I drove away he yells...

"F*ing PR*ck!"

Yeah, it was a tragedy beyond all proportions! Meanwhile there's line ups at hospitals with people who are dying!

Kreskin, check out the West Coast Earthquake thread. Then ask yourself. Do I really want to be on a bridge when the Big One strikes? Then again on a ferry you might very well get wiped out by the tsunami. :p
