ya can't win man...if harper spends new money on it, then he'd be criticized for glorifying war, using the existing budgets as is the plan and he doesn't support the troops. whatchya gonna do.

Seems to me everyone except a few on the extreme left honour the fallen on remembrance day every year.

That's what happens when you live in a cringey PC country like Canada.

Don't worry. Evertone else will be commemorating the centenary of WWI. Canada can be on the sidelines if it doesn't wish to "glorify war".

Canada honors her war dead every Remembrance Day. That would be on November eleventh.

I honour everybody who fought. Not just the dead. Do you remember when the center of a poppy was green with very few black? Do you know why?

Once again I'm back to reality based daily fear and loathing about these non PC pc's.
Only the logo remains the same, well sort of.

The moment of joy over the sainthood and funeral speeches for Flaherty are over.
The reality is back.

Shockingly I watch as Locutus fishes for an excuse.

This is a joke right? Your excuse for Harperism's lack of veteran concern and honoring WW1 is about that people might think he is glorifying war.

Hilarious! or Sadly Pathetic and cause for the wrath of my entire being!
My grand parents fought in that War and were honored and I would like to be reminded of that , no matter what the cost?
Which isn't going to be anywhere near the cost of Harper TV and the action ads. I never see the present PC's call foul at the cost of the propaganda they use tax payers money to spin their BS, action ads and now Harper TV.
using the existing budgets as is the plan and he doesn't support the troops. whatchya gonna do.
this is ...wait a sec...Rolls on floor slapping all fours in hilarity...ok back...

The budget!!! it's going to ruin the budget of Canada.

So by that conclusion you have an excuse for not treating the veterans fairly as well.

Rip them off for their pensions , which when I talk about the forum clams up.

Con the present vets into signing away a life long pension for a 35 grand cheque which most jump at and decide to use in self medication which affects the care they need for they get labeled drug and alcohol abusers.

Shame on you Locutus for even thinking about the cost.
Look what was spent on Flaherty's funeral. The cost of the action plan adds that are strictly BS is ok ?

"remembering orgy"
This is what you call this.

You really have annoyed me.
But then again, youth has it's promise.
A lesson about having a little respect for that which gave you freedom is in order for you young man.

Harper has very little interest in promoting national pride or conscience or patriotism. His whole agenda has been to obfuscate all sense of nationalism as an impediment to his Global economic agenda and the dilution of any concept of borders or country.

Nationalism is the most dangerous ism going. Killing it is a good thing.

I think once the full agenda of Globalism is realized.. the days of constructive nationalism (which is much different the tribalism of say the Nazis).. will be seen as a refuge of community and conscience. Gobalism aspires to neither of those.. being propelled by power lust and greed.

Well considering it was your Motherland's "Run against the machine gin and barb wire" stupidity that got many of our troops killed, maybe you guys should flip the bill. Of all the military organizations in Nato, I have never seen such a pompous bunch as with the Brits who still think that an Officer is royalty and the Men are peasants.

I think back when a British Major came to CFB Gagetown and was aghast that he would have to clear his own travel claim.

insert Limey accent--->"That would be the day in her Majesties Service that a Major would have to hand carry his own travel claim to the pay office." He grumbled.

My response, "With all due respect Sir, this is Canada. Not the UK."
