So H2S is deadly poison but Wiebo's claims that it was causing all sorts of health problems in his community were BS because he was a wacko.... OK..... I think I'm getting your point. It is on the top of your head.

All that sour gas floating around Alberia would account for 50 years of conservative governments then.

If Wiebo's claims had any validity, they could have been easily proven, and he likely wouldn't have had to spend a day in jail, because it probably could have been classified as self defense.

But...
- he refused to see doctors to have any tests done on his family.
- He refused air monitoring and water sampling done through the AEUB (the Alberta regulator at the time).
- He refused to have an autopsy performed on the alleged miscarriage of a near term baby (instead he buried in a little plot out on Triple Creek... in some ways it was understandable to a degree but...); and
- he refused to have any post mortem analyses done on the goats he alleged had defects and miscarriages due to exposures.

In short, if his woes could be laid at the feet of the energy industry, he had ample opportunity to take real action to see justice done but he refused. I understand that people tend to discount first person claims of experience in these matters on the internet(such as mine in this case), because they are difficult to prove without outside corroboration, and this story clashes with the ideological agenda of people like Bill Barilko and Cliffy. But that still doesn't answer the question as to why he didn't try the legal channels before resorting to terrorism and vigilantism.

Hear say evidence doesn't cut anything. All you have been doing is a character assassination on someone you don't know.
And doesn't exist, according to you.

If that's the case, why such angst and angry energy Cliffy?

For some reason peeps cant get over their hate on for Alberta and the energy industry still!!!!!!

So I have 35 years experience in the industry and hate seeing bull**** and lies posted by those who just want to feed their hate on and try get as many on their side as possible to help them with their hate on.
Really it is sad that this still gos on but I guess some people havent grown up yet.
Cliffy should be thankfull the industry is putting money into Canada as we would be in real sorry shape without it right now.
Get past the hate Cliffy, learn to embrace this country as a collective even if it means Alberta leads the country in jobs jobs jobs which pay the taxes that mean there will still be a few bucks left in your social security when you retire.

Whiners and wimps didnt make Alberta,we did it ourselves, the ones that were tough enough to make it did and they are from all over Canada.

Not sure where you get angry from my post but it wasn't me who was threatening anybody.
I didn't just read one of your posts here Cliffy.

You seem quite angry on this topic.

Which doesn't make much sense for someone living in a Matrix.

I know a lot of angry seniors. I don't quite understand why at that point in their lives, they feel the need to waste such energy, but they do. Bill Barilko, Cliffy and TenPenny, are not unique in anyway.

BTW: I'm not trying to be insulting, just voicing an observation.

Life sometimes sucks,we need to learn to just either blow off the bad stuff or look at it in a humourous way because fretting over it will put you in an early grave.

Every day above ground is a good day!

Ludwig was also investigated, but not charged, in relation to the June 20, 1999 shooting death of a female teenager, Karman Willis who had been joyriding on his property in the middle of the night.

They couldn't prove it was him that pulled the trigger, but then again....

Total scumbag.

For Cliffy and his anger problem.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson
about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between
two "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies,
false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good.
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute
and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied,
"The one you feed."

One of the components that upset the community was the fact that the shot came from Ludwig's ranch. The coverup was well orchestrated, but in the end, one of the group (a small #) pulled that trigger.

Blame the RC's to a degree, but it's more than apparent that the Trickle Creek clan had no problem with taking a life that night.

I find it odd that a Fundamentalist Christian like Wiebo Ludwig who plants bombs would get a pass here; of all places.

It's a tough issue to unravel. I honestly couldn't tell you if there was some kind of fundamentalist (religion) component or not. On that note, I think that the word 'cult' is possibly unjustified here (although there appeared to have some commonalities).

That said, I don't think Ludwig got any kind of pass of kid-treatment from the RCMP... I believe that Ludwig simply was smart enough to not make any mistakes in terms of whatever actions he took.

All arguments aside, Ludwig was an egotistical S.O.B. who broke the law and directly or indirectly did irreparable damage, a bit of a hypocrite too in that an upholder of Christianity respects the Commnandment "thou shalt not kill", or even attempt to kill.

Weibo was a fundamentalist Christian, who immigrated to Canada from Friesland.

The combination is interesting.
