No, I did not consider that statement, because it is false.

And when you are whay out on the left, even the center looks right. I am in the middle, you are on the far left.

It isn't false though. The CPC policies are considerably to the right of where polls show Canadians to be, and moderates within the party (not just a few MPs) have been leaving in droves since the takeover of the PC party.

Meanwhile, as it's policies and the antics of the party "leadership" have marginalized the party from Canada's mainstream, the reaction of those within the party has been to lash out at the electorate they should be trying to woo and to become even more Alberta-centric in both the policies they promote and their rhetoric in the media and on internet forums.

Not a lot of Ontarians are going to be convinced to support Harper when they are constantly assaulted by screams of, "Those bastards in Ontario," and not a lot of people are going to vote for somebody who implies that they are corrupt every time he opens his fat gob.

See now this what I meant about their rhetoric on internet forums. It's been explained to you many times that Ontario puts more money into this country than Alberta does. It has also been explained to you many times that Ontario has less representation according to population than Alberta does.

You should be trying to convince Ontarians to vote for your candidates, but instead the face your party presents to the public is one of hating Ontario.

1. Albertans pay more per capita than any other taxpayer in Canada.
2. I know all about representation, never disputed it. Just would like some recognition that a lot of this country is operated on Alberta generated money, both personal and corporate.
3. Alberta has the lowest personal income tax rate in Canada.
4. Alberta has the lowest corporate income tax rate in Canada.
5. Alberta is the only Canadian province that is debt free.
6. Alberta has no provincial sales tax.
7. More corporate head offices have moved to Alberta in the last 10 years than any other area in Canada.
8. Alberta has the lowest unemployment rate in Canada.
9. Alberta has the highest standard of living in Canada.

So cirticize all you want, the above will not change in the short or long term, despite delusional thoughts that the left will take over this province. There is a better chance of you becoming the leader of the CPC than that happening.

We do not hate Ontarians, but we do not understand why they support a lying, cheating, swindling, scandal ridden government that has proven they will do anything to stay in power.

You look it up. The fact is that Albertans pay more into Canada per capita than any other citizen in this country. There has been no dispute over that. Albertans pay almost $3,000 more PER PERSON in transfer payment alone, over and above corp and personal taxes. So you tell me, where would Canada replace the $10 - $12 billion per year that has been paid in transfer payments from Alberta? BC? Just became a have province again a few years ago. Sask? Just became one this year. Ontario? Hell, they are already arguing about how much they pay. Quebec? A recipient of transfer payments? It is to laugh.

The fact is that Alberta has no case for their constant complaints, Blue. Ralphie never put the oil under Alberta. Neither did you.

If you want more say, you need more MPs. If you want more MPs, you need more people. If you get more people, the politics will move left. Then where will you be?

We understand Blue. We know how much the Left sneers at Alberta. They make fun of cowboys and call you "rednecks." They derisively talk about the "Calgary School" and they say that your politics are un-Canadian. Everybody knows that Alberta is out of place in Canada.

But we certainly would appreciate Alberta here in America. We think Alberta is a wonderful state, er, province. Tell yourself honestly - honestly now - where do you really belong? I think you and I both know the answer. :wink:

We would welcome you with open arms if you decided to become part of our great country (and you and I both know its inevitable). Then you can finally belong with people who truly understand you. Oh heck, let's not beat around the bush - We love Alberta down here in America! Just LOVE you guys!

Its just best that you move on. Think about Canada for a minute. Now, rid of that troublesome conservative state, er province, they can elect liberals and socialists forever. It's better for them too, Blue! You'll be doing everyone a favor! Alberta wins, America wins, and Canada - especially - wins! It's a win-win-win situation!

Did you ever stop to consider that the CPC party of Canada now represents an increasingly marginalized fringe element in Canadian politics that is so extreme that even the Bloc can not support them (when demonstrating that federal politics in Canada is disfunctional would no doubt strengthen support for the Bloc in Quebec)?

This is political discourse in Canda...A Canadian who moved to the US telling a Canadian who wants to be an American to join him while an American who will not accept that Canada is a sovereign state cheers them on.
