Why is Canada still allied with the US?

If Europeans despise the USA for being the usurper that they are, why hasn't Europe severed ties the USA and taken back what was stolen?
No troll post. Go to Quora and see for yourself how angry Europeans are. They are hoping that when the US falls, Canada won't be hurt as they care for Canadians.

And not to put too fine a point on this but, when I was a teenager I hated the US too. THAT'S why country's don't operate on the stupid whims of kids. People grow up, their attitudes change, their feelings towards the US changes with the change in US presidents. You'll also note that it's NOT a majority of teens that think "America is evil" as well. So basically you expect a country to change it's foreign policy based a minority of whiny self-absorbed teenagers? Wow, you're even more stupid than I gave you credit for.

The concept of open market and free trade believes that each country should concentrate on what it does best and then deal with the
other countries accordingly! For this reasoning - Danes excel at producing Pork , French make Cheese, Germans make machinery etc!
The PROBLEM with the E.U. is THE SAME as with all other govts!
