There WAS a real sweetness to the 80's...

The explosion of incredible music...the fashion...hell, even the Porn was sweet too. Painter pants, stoner jackets, kodiak boots, walkmans, (we won't talk about acid wash jeans)...carrying all of your books around in your Adidas bag in grade 9. The smokes and drugs weren't as strong. Fist fights instead of knife fights. Very few by-law officers because the women controlled the community. The 20 minute workout after school on TV!

I agree. I get wistful for that decade when it was okay to tell an off-colour joke.
