I was kind of disgusted with how Paul Martin has acted in the last few days. To me he just seems soo phony, does anyone here agree with me? I mean no we are not gonna vote for you cause you can yell "I love Canada" louder. For me Martin has seemed the most ignorant of the bunch. I don't think Steve Harper is a doll, but I don't buy all that "scary bs" the liberals have been putting out. Harper is not a master speaker and lacks charisma, but I am willing to give his party a chance. I don't vote on if a person is scary or what he/she looks like. Layton also seemes much better than Martin, and if not for his far left policies he would look like the best speaker/leader of the bunch. The NDP and Conservatives will eat up liberal seats this election.

I'm voting for Ujjal Doshanj in my Vancouver South riding. The Libs however are going to have a hard time holding on to Vancouver Kingsway (David Emmerson vs. Ian Waddel) and Vancouver Centre (Hedy Fry vs. Svend Robinson).

That's really just a way of capitalising on Harper's inability to say those three little words, Roy. Harper was tossed what should have been a softball question, and he seemed incapable of answering it. I'm suprised that Gilles Duceppe wasn't going after him for it.

The NDP and Conservatives will eat up liberal seats this election.

The NDP will likely eat up a fair number of Conservative seats this election too.

Doesn't it bother you that he tried to bribe Grewal for his vote, dangling cushy appointments in front of him? The guy is a slimeball.

The tapes that Grewal made didn't really show that once all of the dishonest and corrupt, not to mention inept, Conservative splices were taken out, MMMikey.

Oh please Rev. You know, I know, everybody knows what was being said on that tape. Regardless of what you think of Grewal and his motives, Dosijj is stained forever.

Well I watched the 4 leaders speak on CSPAN2.

I have to admit I was impressed with Layton, I have no idea what his policies are but he is certainly a good public speaker.

That BQ guy annoyed the living daylights out of me.

Martin was on the defense in my opinion.

And Harper, well, he has a scary eyes 8O

As for who I'm voting for, well, I'll let you know next year in the Senate race :p

Just my 2 cents.

His policies are even better than his speaking. 8)

Duceppe is actually a hell of an astute politician and deadly in a debate. Watch those when they come on.

Martin was on the defense in my opinion.

The Liberals tend to start campaigns that way. He'll be better in the second half.

And Harper, well, he has a scary eyes

The eyes of a professional murderer. Not only that, but he appears to wear eye make-up to make them stand out.

Oh please Rev. You know, I know, everybody knows what was being said on that tape. Regardless of what you think of Grewal and his motives, Dosijj is stained forever.

I also know that the Conservatives had those tapes for a very long time and gave doctored versions to the press. If what Dosanj said was so bad, why did they feel the need to corrupt the evidence?

I don't doubt it, all he talked about though was Quebec and how he will protect the interests of Quebec, that's what annoyed me, he made no reference to Canada.

I can understand the name BQ says it all, but still, it's on the federal level. Sheesh.

i think it is entirely possible the future of canada could be that of several "bloc"'s. The regions are distinct enough canada might best perform as a coalition of regions where the national government is only responsible for standards and international issues.

Actually up until I was 22 I was a hard core communist, can you imagine that? Laughing

OMG!

Even I don't go quite that far. I like communism as an ideal but it doesn't work in practice.

Ya ain't kiddin' momsie. Vampire is right. That guy scares the heck out of me.

And yes the NDP rock. Only party that tried to get anything useful done last spring. It worked too.

He only runs candidates in Quebec and his party exists to break up the country. He has received requests to run candidates elsewhere though, including BC and Alberta, and usually polls between 3 and 4 % outside of Quebec.

I'm afraid we might be heading that way. Odd, because the rest of the world seems to be moving in the other direction with countries becoming more unified.

I forgot to mention the cutest girls were communists/leftists :p

Seriously, communism is a utopia, we first have to evolve as human beings to even begin to think along those lines, IMO.
