God works in his own ways my friend, even if he lets evil win.
It's all for a greater purpose yet to be revealed.
You just finished saying that God would not allow a socialist to win.... were you lying then or are you lying now?

Jesus was a socialist. He certainly was not a con. You are blowing smoke out your ass or you are a comedian.God works in his own ways my friend, even if he lets evil win.

That is understandable if you are from Skookumchuck. BCers are like elephants: they never forget or forgive, even if they are wrong.I'm not ashamed to say that Trudeau did well, even though i wanted to see his face changed muchly.

My dad got shot up in WWII also and I was born in frog town. Living among people of every ethnic background teaches something that living in isolation in BC during the war did not obviously teach you. Tolerance is something that was sorely lacking in BC when I arrived here in '72 and still is in a lot of places. I remember race riots in Quesnel and loggers trying to run me down with their 4X4s on the side of the highway and how our aboriginal people have been treated as third class citizens. You have nothing to be proud of.Particularly if we are rrr www oo..... aw **** Fonzie syndrome!
But not wrong in my mind this time. My father and uncles were all overseas and shot up to protect his freedom while that little dilletante prick was riding around frog town in a German helmet! Peeps from my generation remember all that, along with conscription which was only necessary in paybec.
Considering that it was for a good cause I sincerely hope that Brazeau did not suffer any brain damage. Oh wait, I forgot Brazeau is a Conservative Senator.

My dad was sorely pissed that the French took to the woods to avoid having to support the British monarchy during WWII. I thought they were the only smart ones. Canada was never in fear of being invaded by Germany. The whole war was not about serving our country, but serving the Crown, which is a pretty nebulous entity to give one's life up for. Young fools volunteered to die because they bought the propaganda of the day. My dad was hit by a mortar shell and spent two years in a British hospital recovering just so he wouldn't miss D Day. He could have come home to his wife and child, but he chose to stay and see the Empire rise once again. That didn't work out for the Empire and in the end, Germany won the war (NASA and the CIA were built with German scientists and ex- SS officers). Now we have fascism living next door and a PM who is a Bush Lite wannabe. You make assumptions that i have been cloistered in one province for a lifetime to further your opinion? You talk tolerance? How do you spin the fact that when we were fighting for our country Quebec was only place where conscription was necessary? In the rest of Canada kids were lying about their age to join.
Vingt-deuxième being the exception and a very decorated and honorable one they are. Sadly only a tiny percentage of the population.
Of course you have conveniently ignored the Quebecois penchant for the term "pure laine" as you attempt to paint BC or any other province as intolerant or racist. I base my lack of tolerance for Quebec on my quoted post along with my own experiences there trying to fit in while speaking a passable patois with an anglais accent. That being said, my issues were urban, rural was often a delight.
I blame their political leaders over a century mostly.

Oddly although you mention British loyalty, did you forget that Quebec would not fight for France either.
God would never let a socialist win.
That designation belongs to the NDP :smile:What does that have to do with Justin? He hadnt been born yet. Same with NEP. You cant lay the blame on him. He's not his father.
Conscription shouldn't have happened at all. In the end it had barely any effect. And not just in Quebec.
And who could blame them? Their ties with France had been severed nearly 2 centuries earlier. Those settlers who tried to return to France after the conquest were turned away.
Justin Trudeau is no socialist. You must not know what "socialism" is.
