True, ironsides, but you can not ignore the mentally challenged who still support shakedown artists like Jesse Jackson and poverty pimps like Al Sharpton. Both of these worthies are proud members of the NAAAAP, the most racist entity in the history of the world.

I have nothing but contempt for the functionally illiterate scum, who can't even address - perhaps because they are too lazy or too stupid - by their FULL screen name. You know, like the Bible-thgumping hypocrite, gerryh.

Again... you are totally out of control & beyond the TOS in your posts. Please shut up!

Northern Ontario,
about the only thing this proves is that members of the teaparty don't know the difference between a swastika and an iron cross, and since the guy wearing it says nothing about the mistake.....makes me wonder.
Look closer Jerryh.....the swastika is in the center of the iron cross...you dont have to listen to the whole exchange;-)...just check around 15 seconds or so:lol:

Ah! But it is so much fun watching an obvious racist point fingers at others for being racist. He fails to see the three fingers pointing back at himself.

I guess I can't see the fun in it anymore because it's "people" like him/her who caused students to be shot down at Kent State, over 50,000 young Americans to be killed fighting a mythological enemy called communism in Vietnam, the lynchings of fellow Americans in the South because they were and are still perceived as "unequal" and "different", little children killed deliberately by a bomb while at church, Americans to die of drowning & deliberate witholding of food, water & medical aid by racist fellow Americans in New Orleans for similar racist reasons; yes, exactly the same brain washed fanaticism & ignorance that s/he displays in these hate riddled fanatical posts as the illiterate, ignorant, brainwashed fanatics who deliberately flew four civilian planes into American targets on 9/11. S/he & his/her ilk have exactly the same capacity for commiting such an act against what they see in their delusions as "the enemy", s/he says so in every racist, bigotted, illiterate, brain washed word they put on this forum. Live long enough & you stop seeing the humour but are very aware of the potential for such things and too often their potential for harm is recognized too late. :(

I agree with you but we can't shut them up otherwise we put our own freedoms in jeopardy. Usually ridicule works but Jack's self righteous bigotry is so thick it cannot be penetrated.

On another note, you might try not letting these people get under your skin because it sounds like you are about to blow a gasket. Anger is a very destructive emotion, As the old saying goes, "anger will eat you up inside". It leads to cancer. Most of your posts reflect a rather compassionate being, so I wouldn't want you to suffer needlessly.

Populism was actually a left of center concept that started in
Texas of all places. It was part of the history of Lyndon Johnson,
It was a movement devoted to social justice and was at odds with
the elites in government.
Today the Tea Party is trying to capitalize on the belief they are the
populists of today. Nothing could be further from the truth. They
are a conservative movement and they could care less about the
concept of social justice and a voice for all.
As for racism. Here it is not so simple. I think there are elements of
racism, within the NAACP, it is by no means a main street concept
in the movement. NAACP is dedicated to social justice for all with a
small group that detracts from the mainstream.

The Tea Party, is the rowdy challenger to the Republican Party that
is trying to drive them to the far right, and the Barry Goldwater crowd.
They want smaller government, and government that caters to the
conservative element, that already has the lions share of wealth ,and
in the back of the room, silent conservative elitists that really drive the
agenda for mouth pieces, that have trouble with fact let alone see the
actual goals of the movement. The Tea Party agenda, is to control
America using the monetary stick, and that is really controlled by the
white minority, and billionaire families. Nothing like trotting out fresh
young faces, to get the message out. There has always been these
radical rebellious groups that want to conquer the mainstream halls
of government, The only problem is, even when they do gain traction
they become what they tried to destroy.

The Tea Party agenda, does have its racists, but they have learned
to distract the core belief. They hide behind God, and a simpler time story.
These are the voices of the past that want to take America back to
a mind set that was easier to control.
I am not saying that those who are religious or spiritual are caught up
in the Tea Party. I am saying the religious fringe are in control of that
mind set. Many people who embrace religion are not moving over to
the Tea Party they can see it for what it is.
Carl Rove and the former Bush crowd are using religion, race and
anything else they can find. Especially the FOX News network.
Glen Beck, Anne Coulter, and that crowd are destroying the Republican
party. This is not a good thing, as they need both strong credible
government and a strong opposition. Diverse opinions are essential
to keep the people informed and engaged.

Thanks for the concern Cliffy. Yup, these things have always made me angry and also sad. I was born with people's rights in my gene's I guess. My Welsh maternal grandmother was a suffragette & also joined the lines when the English government ordered mounted military to ride into the lines of striking miners & their families and mow them down in 1926. (Margaret Thatcher did the same when her "trickle down" faux economics failed so dismally & people were jobless & desperate & the miners went on strike again, knowing what was coming.) Her husband, my grandfather, was Chief Constable of the town who had to stand by obeying orders watching with tears pouring down his face. Lots of black families lived in Wales, still do, they came for the jobs a long time ago - no-one thought of them as different. All I know is I've watched hate & racism & the police & military misused to fight the wrong people very often because racists, bigots & power & money hungry people manipulated people with fear & used the ignorant as a front. From Britain to Canada to the US I've watched it. Remember Oka? Ipperwash? The military against the First Nations - people died. Now the US is again back almost to the fifties in the openly divisive, bigotted, manipulative dishonest, deceitful fear-mongering of some elected politicians, where's that Silent Majority of yesteryears that finally woke up & said NO! ENOUGH! The anarchy of Usenet would let me say what I'd like to say to this illiterate, unthinking mouthpiece but they've found the forums now. I believe in freedom of speech too, but at some point a stand has to be taken to protect those who cannot protect themselves and to say this must stop.
You'll hear the voice of the pain of the South in a fifties song sung by Nina Simone called "Strange Fruit". Strange Fruit indeed. :( It's not far from happening again unless people start saying no to it.

I'll stay away, take a break, if I get too angry.

Yes, I understand that anger. I have had two heart attacks so I have learned to keep a button on it. If I can keep a cool head, I'll rail against the bigots, but if I can't, I have to pass it by. The injustice and oppression is everywhere. On must chose the battles to be fought. Right now the injustice against our local (extinct) aboriginal people keeps me busy. As the native people say, you world (sphere of influence) is as far as you can walk in a day. There is more than plenty in your personal world to keep you busy. Outside of that you have very little influence. Use your time and energy wisely.

Cliffy, I am sure that sufficient ill will and malice I could find enough videos, readers' comments, news items, articles and opinions just as wrong and silly as those in your post, by some who could not possibly called rednecks, becausse they are not white and/or conservative.

And if I titled it "Pissed Off Black Trash Jigaboo Liberals", you would be the first one to jump on me with great indignation and calls of racist and bigot.

The difference is Jack, that you would take it seriously and I wouldn't.
