We had a program like that in B.C. about 25 years ago. If you were white, Anglosaxon, protestant, heterosexual, mobile and healthy you went to the bottom of the hiring list. Someone apparently saw through the folly within a year or two.
Given this happened in 2010 it’s not the Liberals problem. They weren’t in power and hadn’t been for nearly five years at that point.

How did you get your job was it by being white or by being more qualified than the next person in line?
How about the person that can make the most and highest quality production at the lowest cost?
These days, the fault for his existence would fall squarely on the parents.

Nepotism likely still reins in government for sure! There was a saying years ago whenever I had to find work after hubby was transferred that ....it's not what you know but who you know.
I was even told, on a couple of occasions, that, even though I was better qualified, someone else had been hired. Apparently I was told this so that I wouldn't give up applying for the jobs that came up. It didn't take me long to figure out what a waste of time it was and I decided to simply apply for civilian jobs instead. Was much better for it as it turned out.

It will be a long time before that disappears. In some ways, it's understandable. Hire from within. Hire who you know. Humans are like that.
But sometimes, things go very wrong.
When I was still teaching, a friend's husband got transferred to Ottawa from Borden. The military assumed (wrongly) that they would sell their house and move. The trouble was, they had one kid in uni and another starting college. The wife was remaining behind for the children, and to look after the house. He was retiring in 1.5 yrs and they decided to settle in Barrie, ON.
The trouble was, they laid her off because they thought she was moving to Ottawa too. This, despite discussing with her boss that she would be remaining. She was out of work for a few months, but found another position.
Sometimes, it's just stupidity.

In the aftermath of that incident in Virginia when some white goof ran over an Antifa thug with his car- the cameras got a shot of some white supremists marching and chanting "Jews will never replace us"!

Girl suspended for 'trying to incite violence' with anti-bullying spoken-word poem posted on YouTube

LEBANON, Tenn. — A Tennessee high school student’s anti-bullying video has resulted in nearly 600,000 views on YouTube and a suspension for its creator.
Lebanon High School student Emily Gipson said school administrators accused her of “trying to incite violence” and gave her a two-day in-school suspension for the video entitled “Welcome to Lebanon High School,” posted Jan. 22.
In the video, prompted by a classmate’s October suicide, she asks students to treat each other better.
“Welcome to Lebanon High School, where smiles are fake and suicide prevention is something to laugh at,” she said in the spoken-word video, criticizing her peers’ reaction to the Stop It app the Wilson County school had put out in response to the death.
Her ire was not restricted to students, however. Perhaps the harshest words in Gipson’s free-verse speech were reserved for school administration.
“Posters say ‘Smile’ and ‘Be happy,’ but how am I supposed to be happy in a world — no, in a community — where creativity is put down, where the people who make fun of others never get punished because ‘There’s no proof,’ or ‘There’s nothing we can do about it,’ or, my favourite, ‘Kids will be kids,”‘ she says in the video.
“So let’s summarize: We’re expected to come to this emotional prison every day, and we’re expected to forgive the bullies because the authorities are sure they didn’t mean it. Sometimes I wonder how many kids it takes dying to make a difference.”
(Oh- there is the heart of the matter- LIE-berals are ALWAYS convinced there is some innocuous excuse for anything that happens that THEY don’t want to bother with! This is the empty and soul-less heart of LIE-beral justice! They cannot rehabilitate. They REFUSE to punish and they REFUSE to confine bullies and criminals to protect the rest of us!)
(A few years back, I watched our Ontari-owe LIE-beral education minister assuring the public in a press conference that our kids DO FEEL SAFE in our schools and the 3 teens I was with ERUPTED in scornful laughter! They were certain the Minister had gotten assurances ONLY from school class presidents- meaning aspiring future LIE-beral politicians- that school kids do feel safe! In other words LIE-berals NEVER ask questions of people who might answer negatively!)
Gipson’s video is a broad indictment of campus culture but contains neither profanity nor calls for direct action, let alone violence.
Principal Scott Walters told The Lebanon Democrat he can’t discuss the 16-year-old’s punishment, but said he took issue with the fact that the free-verse speech was recorded in a classroom without a teacher’s permission. Gipson disputed that, saying she had two coaches’ permission.
(Typical LIE-beral misdirection! Don’t worry about the message because it might make LIE-berals and their teacher allies look bad- just concentrate on whether the girl actually had permission to speak freely on school property!)
Walters also said the video hurt his feelings, and those of teachers, too.
(Yes I am quite sure the teachers feeling were upset! NOBODY enjoys being called out for failing on the job and too many teachers know our kids exist in a Wild West atmosphere were there are NO consequences for ANYTHING! Two bully boy brothers went to our local school and the best protection that could be offered by either teachers or cops was to hold the 2 boys in class for an extra 15 minutes at the end of each day so that other kids got a running start for the relative safety of home!)
He said he’s received feedback from parents and students who didn’t agree with the video, including a gift from a student who told him he was doing a good job. He also said people could learn from Gipson’s viewpoint.
(In another case I am aware of, a local kid was threatened with expulsion for roughing up another kid for repeatedly trying to steal his text books! This is modern justice- the swift assumption that last man standing must be the culprit! In this case the teen tore a strip off the school principle- demanding to know WHO would be paying for the missing texts if he had not punished the book thief kid and got his books back? He also pointed out that the other kid was also trying to take his notebooks and who would be responsible for replacing his lost notes? Teen finished up thundering: “I have spoken to your staff about this problem before and NOTHING has been done” - and here teen named several teachers who had been involved in previous days. This kid and several of his friends have followed me around and are harassing me by tyring to steal my stuff. The teen finished up with this: “so, are you going to take ANY action or must I protect my own property in my own way”? And here teen gave the arm of the thief an extra hard twist. Principle goggled for a moment- considered various ways this mess might somehow come out to his credit- and turned on his heels and returned to his office- hear no evil and see no evil! This is the core of LIE-beral justice!)
“I can appreciate the perspective of the video,” Walters said. “Of course, she’s 16, and her perspective is going to be different from mine.”
Gipson says the punishment is worth the good she feels the video has produced.
(Yeah no doubt she does feel better. At least she spoke up about things that honestly distressed her!)
