White House says Trump’s plan to ban Muslims ‘disqualifies’ him from presidency

The White House said Tuesday that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plan to ban Muslims from entering the United States disqualifies him from being president.

“What Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him serving as president,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said. “And for Republican candidates for president, to stand by their pledge to support Mr. Trump, that in and of itself is disqualifying.”

Earnest said that the first thing a president does when he or she takes the oath of office is to swear an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

“What he said is disqualifying,” Earnest said. “Any Republican who’s too fearful of the Republican base to admit it has no business serving as president either.”

During a campaign rally on Monday, Trump called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”

“Our country cannot be the victim of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” Trump said.

Earnest described Trump’s campaign as a “carnival-barker routine” and urged other Republican presidential candidates not to support Trump if he becomes the party’s nominee.

Earlier Tuesday House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters that Trump’s proposal “is not conservatism.”

“What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for and more importantly, it’s not what this country stands for,” Ryan said. “Not only there are many Muslims serving in our Armed Forces, dying for this country, there are Muslims serving right here in the House working every day to uphold and to defend the Constitution.”

In reaction to Trump’s proposal on Monday, the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) said “Donald Trump sounds more like a leader of a lynch mob than a great nation like ours.”

“He and others are playing into the hands of ISIS. This is exactly what ISIS wants from Americans to turn against each other,” Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR, said at a press conference.

So, let me get this straight. The Constitution of the US includes a provision that there must be no immigration laws or controls whatsoever? Is that what the White House is claiming?

I love it whenever some retard from CAIR pipes up to whine about "injustices" to Muslims. If CAIR is whining about what you say or do, you're definitely on the right track. CAIR is a notorious Islamic Supremacist group created by the Muslim Brotherhood with the façade of being a civil rights organization. They are NOT a civil rights organization. The only right they believe in is their divine right to force their beliefs on you. Kind of like the idiot Talibaptists in the US.

No it does not and yes they are. The White House says a lot of stupid things and their base is dumb enough to believe it.

True.

When it comes to CAIR and other Progressive groups... the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Conservative America is in the way of both.

Yeah maybe, but the Talibaptists I referred to are a sizable demographic of Conservative America.
I don't give a crap which of the three Abrahamic religions a person belongs to, if they're a fundamentalist they're anti-freedom. They don't give a damn about basic human rights and dignity. All they care about is inflicting their idiotic religious beliefs on everyone else while casually ignoring their own transgressions, until they get caught that is. Then they're all about forgiveness and bullsh*t. Look at that POS Republican speaker or whatever that diddled 5 kids. The so-called "morality squad" is asking for leniency in his sentencing. Yet if he had been a Muslim, the same dull-witted morons would be howling for his blood.

The whole thing makes me so angry I could strangle a manatee in the nude. ++

Okay let's be serious here. The actual White House said this? Like, a house that speaks? Is it lost on everyone else that we are living in a world where man made structures are now weighing in on political dealings?
