Cops patrol Virginia malls after police received intelligence that ISIS is planning a Halloween weekend attack
- Police in Northern Virginia have been spotted on high alert throughout the beginning of Halloween weekend after a threat of a possible ISIS attack
- Police cruisers were seen patrolling Mosaic Shopping Mall in Fairfax, Tysons Corner Center Mall in Tyson and Fair Oaks Mall - just 20mi outside of the capital
- Earlier this week Department of Homeland Security's intelligence chief John Cohen said ISIS wants individuals to act on their own in lone-wolf attacks
- US intelligence agencies also said they believe the Islamic State in Afghanistan could develop the capability to attack the United States in as little as six months
- The worrisome announcements come after the rapid end of America's 20-year war, which resulted in the death of 13 US troops killed in an ISIS-K suicide attack
