Let's just say they have a few. Do you think they will be able to conduct an effective air campaign?

Of course not.

They can announce anything they wish. The Iraqi and Syria AF have complete domination of the air over their respective countries. Now with the US flying around it would be best if ISIS stayed away from those hangers. As you said...they are not fools.

Yeah, American's terrorist actions in the middle east fostered the hatred. American's failed war and power vacuum in Iraq then paved the way for the growth the ISIS. America's weakening of Iraq's military was the reason ISIS steamrolled over them.
Extremism doesn't create itself out of thin air, it's caused as a reaction by other extremist acts. Every action has a reaction.

Dude... really. Are we to believe that all these pics are related. I excluded the missile photo.

And WTF kind of prop planes are those that are going to now turn the tide? I do not believe for one moment those planes are from the captured airbase.

And that guy with the beige head dressing. He was a well known fighter/leader in the ISIS org and has been dead for months now. He's the guy that they had on a clip shooting some truck drivers. If you search hard enough you can see a picture of his dumb azz on his back looking into oblivion. The SSA put his lights out awhile ago.

Bush didn't have a withdrawal plan. He had a Status of Forces Agreement. When Bush left office he expected Obama to renegotiate the SOF Agreement to permit continued stationing of a limited US force in Iraq. In fact, that's what Obama attempted to do before he just gave up on renegotiation.

Right.

And the USA is responsible for the Muslim incursion into the south of France.....in 752 AD.

The truth is we have been at war with Islam practically since the creation of that cult. We have had breaks here and there, but over the last 1300 years, war between Islam and the west has been the norm.

You gotta stand back and look at the span of history.

Currently you can not see the forest for the trees.

Oh, and as I pointed out, ISIS is NOT "extremism", but Islam in its purest form.

After the fall of Saddam and the democratic elections, the US forces were in Iraq at the behest of the Iraq Government subject to the rules set out in the Status of Forces Agreement. Al-Maliki, the Prime Minsiter would not grant immunity to US soldiers in Iraq. No US President would accept a SoFA that didn't protect its soldiers from domestic law. It's a deal-breaker.

There's some sepculation that al-Maliki may have risked the political capital invovled in granting immunity to American soldiers if teh US had offered more in the way of boots on the ground. I think the Pentagon wanted around 20,000, Obama originally wanted 10,000 but then that shrank to 5,000.

And of course, a fighter can fly from Syria to the U.S., no problem.

I'm pretty sure Syrian troops know to 'flatten the tires', unlike Jordan and Iraq where they leave the keys in the hummers, and fill up the tanks with fuel and leave a hash pipe on the dash. What's that, I guess the Marine wants his pipe back.
