What religious affiliation do you think God is?

not really. only humans have religious affiliations. i am not particularly religious, but it is not realistic to even postulate.

it would also depend if there is only one god.
if there are other gods, then he would be polytheistic, and it would rule out almost all of the religions of the western world ...:?:
Well some would say God is a Christian, or a moslem, or what ever....
I was asking people here to see response which is a valid thing to do.

Once again look, your logic escapes me completely. "...all souls are condemned so that all souls might be saved?" I have not a clue what that could mean. God condemns us all so he can then come along and save us from his condemnation of us? That makes no sense at all to me. Why not just not condemn us in the first place?

The spiritual significance is the answer to that logic.

Assuming, that there is a God, and that this God chose a group of people to be His representatives here on earth (Jewish nation), and that these folks think that they alone have a right to God and His salvation, well, not so.

There is the Gentile world to think about, who have no right to the Jewish God, assuming He is the true God.

So consider the Gentile world as death to God and the Jewish world alive to God.

Well, here is the answer to that logic. If God condemns all, both Gentiles and Jews, then He can save them all with one stroke.

The beauty of Jesus is that He came to save that which was lost (ALL) and there is absolutely, no one who could by good works earn his way to heaven.

Jesus saves both Jew and Gentile and makes of two, one, one body by which all mankind are saved in.

That is my understanding.

But, you'll find that I am at odds with the general Christian believers on it.

I understand, so I employ compassion, for like Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do".

according to all of 'you' believers, your god must have joined all of your religions, as you all lay claim to him. And, why does the god have to be a he, 'oh yeah' I forgot, women were just like slave dogs
back in those days, how silly of me.

God looks at the heart of each individual, Christian, Muslum, Buddasit etc..

The demonstration of love in any religious or non-religious heart, is the key that defines ones God.

If a Buddhist knows only Buddha, but demonstrates love for his Buddha and his fellow neighbor, then that individual is exercising the quality that is Gods; but knows Him only as Buddha.

That being the case, then Buddha is his God, and God is credited with the good.

for the record Buddha was a man....Buddha means awakened one...one needs to be a person living in darkness first ...then one becomes a Buddha....No one is suppossed to worship Buddha in any other way than one would appreciate a great teacher....He asked for people not to seek Him to help them...although most Buddhists do8O

God is claimed by many religious believers according to their views of God.

I see God with one view only and that is from the top down.

I see God loving all His creatures, and see mankind messing it up.

Much like sibling rivalry, the parent loves them all anyways.

One would think that the siblings would grow up and love each other like brothers and sisters, but as seen, they haven't matured yet. (As a whole I mean)

No, they were not. This kind of thing only began with artificially created monotheistic religions, such as Christianity and Islam. In most Pagan religions men and women were equal. And in many religions women were honored as the givers of life, while Christianity oppressed women and demonized the Feminine in general. I guess the reason for it is that a lot of things that are in the human nature became an unpardonable sin in Christianity.

Understood, but if there is no other reference, then Buddha is all there is to that individual.

We are born in darkness you know and are brought out into the light of the world, we see the world and then learn to make choices.

Whatever references of spirituality we are dealt with, that is what we use, unless we are introduced to a different reference, then we have to choose what we think is the better.

I consider myself very fortunate to have been introduced to the God of the Bible, and better yet, that I have come to understand many things according top His way of thinking, rather than what I have been thought to think.

But still, mankind's failures in the religious aspect does in no way tarnish the wonderful, good God that loves every creature both religious and non-religious.

I understand it that way.

God is spirit, and with Him there is no gender. He is addressed as a male representative, because He is Adam in spirit, while Eve is representative of the flesh.

Together they form a living soul.

God called them both Adam.

Makes no sense to me, nevertheless. It still doesn't explain why any nation needs to be condemned by your allegedly loving god. Condemning every living being and then working hard to save everyone you have condemned is the same as, for instance, turning your husband away from your house, and then doing everything that you can to bring him back. Illogical, irrational, hysterical and unexplicably cruel, in the case of a god. If it is really this kind of deity who rules this world, it is a bit scary to live here. :-?

I have another question, that I asked Sanctus once, but got no reply. I am not a Jew. I haven't got a single drop of Jewish blood in me. So why on earth should I worship a Jewish god, who had never even travelled further than Jerusalem? I have read the Bible, but I haven't found any mention of the Russian people in that book. So why should I give up the Gods of my Ancestors, and turn to a god of another nation, of another peoples, of another blood? And to one, who was killed by his own race, into the bargain. 8O

The beauty of Jesus is that He came to save that which was lost (ALL) and there is absolutely, no one who could by good works earn his way to heaven.

I see no beauty in this, too. What you are saying is - be you good, or be you bad, there is nothing you can do to get to heaven. You will be dead and damned anyway, so why try? Why try to improve yourself, if hell is the only place your own actions will bring you to? Why take responsibility for your action upon yourself, if the end is the same, no matter what you do?
Christianity is a very corrupting religion. This kind of dogmata hinders thinking, stops inner development, and makes a person morally helpless.

There is gender in every spirit, and in every living thing on Earth. Together the two genders form a harmonious whole. Putting one gender on a level above the other is upsetting this balance and this harmony. It is a violation of the laws of Nature, and it will lead to nothing good.

Christianity is a very corrupting religion. This kind of dogmata hinders thinking, stops inner development, and makes a person morally helpless.

I know it is hard to understand, and while many things of God are, simply because He wants us to seek answers to life's questions and Him.

A simple explanation would be like if I had a 1,000 marbles of all different designs, and they were scattered all over the floor. Of course, I wanted everybody to know that a particular set of marbles where my choice to use in play.

I especially had these marbles set in my bag of marbles, so one could say, these are safe in the bag, while others are scattered and unsafe.

Well the time came for me to leave the room. Would I chose the marbles that I chose in the bag and leave, or, would I consider all the marbles as mine and gather them all up and place them in my bag?

If I did that, then, by reason, I had to de-chose the chosen in order to accept the un-chosen, thus gathering all as one in one bag.

There was a reason why God de-chose the chosen and guttered all as all chosen into the bag, and that can be found in the scriptures in the bible. (as all are going to be saved)

Now for your question of not being a Jew. God is color blind, race blind and religious views blind.

He only sees Jesus! Jesus sees all mankind as His for He paid the price for mankind's redemption.

This information comes only through the Bible and the through the chosen people, as like the chosen marbles for all mankind to see and learn.

For prior to the introduction of who God was, mankind knew not who this spiritual something was, so they at best made this spiritual entity into a physical one in the way of an image, or something of a physical image.

God introduced Himself to Abraham, a Gentile and latter gave the Jews the responsibility of the law to the world.
Then, Jesus came as a Jew, to gather up all souls as God, and deliver every soul to eternal life status, for all souls were lost because of the existence of the flesh.

For it says, He came to save that which was lost!

God loves you as a Russian, me as a Mexican American, and all souls, for we are His creatures.

God could have easily chosen the Russians rather than the Jews, but He didn't.

Happy to say, that there is neither Jew or Russian, but both one in Jesus Christ.

There is a gender as stated (on earth), but in the spiritual realm they both neither marry or are given in marriage. What does that tell you?

Gender is not always about marrying or being given in marriage. These are human categories, which are, of course, unapplicable to some more subtle plains of existence. Nevertheless, in the Nature in the the spiritual realm, there are powers that are distinctly feminine and distinctly masculine.

If that is the case, I know nothing of, cause the Bible is my only true reference to the natural and the spiritual.
Apart from that, I can not base anything as truth.
I'm not saying it can't be true, it's just that I based all my beliefs strictly on Bible given information.

I see the Bible's information being foremost in all Godly matters, but at the same time, I don't box God into a box of my own making, for He is greater than I could imagine.

But yet, I find that He loves such as no other known entity as mankind has made of all the gods or none gods.

My God stands above all of mankind's thoughts and at one with the whole universe, for He is the all-mighty God.

So, I have to go with my previous thoughts as I read them out of the bible that there are no male or female genders in heaven.

The only purposes for either is for propagation of the species.

I am calling for unity for loves sake, not for religious sakes.

One need not be religious to exercise love, but then what love standards are been used?

And where did those standards first have voice in?

Surely love thy neighbor as thy self was not a standard practiced in mid-evil times.

Not until God introduced Himself in Jesus was that standard issued by Jesus.

If practised as issued, then the differences would make no difference since love is the motive.

The feeling of love is very important, and special in this world. But I'm concerned that I have read
it far too much on certain posts. It seems to be in overkill mode.

There was a time when i considered my self a Buddhist and took it all very serious.
When i met once with this Muslim,pre9/11, and we talked about the fighting btw muslims christians and jews i said"You know you guys should really stick together much more, for you actually believe in the same God. where as us Buddhists don't."

I wondered after if he thought"yeah lets direct this hatred towards the buddhists and find unity"

I know i know .....i'm nuts.
