There is the old and there is the new.
So, the Apostle Paul, had being given instructions to preach, teach and make disciples of men.
If you have been reading my posts, you will notice an attitude of complete inclusion of all souls into the salvation plan of God.
This is the ultimate full grown Christian attitude, to be as like Jesus.
Do your thoughts ever go anywhere else, 'just curious'. Do you do other stuff just for 'fun' that
has nothing to do with religion, and which allows you to totally 'NOT' think about godly stuff.
Sorry to pry, but maybe you can change my 'vision' of you, as I picture you with your nose
permanently stuck in the bible, or, talking to others about religion all the time.
I would like to think that perhaps you, well. oh, I don't know, just do something else, and I
mean let your mind forget about god, just for a little while.
That's a valid question. And I am happy to answer it truthfully.
With what I know and understand about God, I see God in everything. Especially in human relationships.
Apart from humans, everything is set to it's own course, the weather, the rain, the falling stars etc..
But for the humans, things are not set, but are based on choices made given a set of beliefs and understandings.
I see people suffering, many for bad choices made, and some well, had no choice. That is the luck of the draw, sort of speak.
The bible speaks of time and chance happening to all.
My concern is to share a God with those who know Him not, so as to make their lives easier to live.
This life can be hell for some, and compassion is the only help we can give. It is an outward expression that helps the flesh, but God comforts the spirit which is in the inside.
I have a wonderful family, all six children and fixing to have my 8th grand child. I love them all as if I loved one.
We gather together as often as we can, for we all live in the same town.
Other than that, I interact with as many folks as I can with respect to their beliefs.
If I find that they want to talk/discuss religious beliefs, I am happy to engage them respectfully.
If I know what they don't, and that is that all of them are going to be saved now or at the end of their lives, I have no problem with what they choose to believe.
I am not pressed to win them over to my views, but rather to share my views and let them be as they choose.
I am an independent believer attached to no church affiliation, but do hold a foundation that is fully described in the bible as the God of the universe and Jesus being that foundation for my day and time.
I can see all around me all kinds of beliefs, views and practices and in which my God allows as a matter of free choice.
In your case, your choice is yours to live with as is mine, mine.
I can still have a friendship with you based solely on the basis of love one for another.
I feel that I am in a position spiritually, that can absorb anything and all things that this world can throw at me short of my life, and still maintain peace towards God.
If you've read the story of Shaderac , Neshacc and Abednego in the scriptures, you will find that they were threatened to be thrown into the fiery furnace if they did not denounce their god.
Their reply? Even if our God does not rescue us, we will still love Him.
Now that is a power that only God in them could have answered as they did.
That same power is in me to love my enemies, for only in Gods power could I possibly do it.
I'm afraid that in my own power I would fail miserably.
I speak to all believers and unbelievers in the same way, in the power of the loving God, for if He loves every soul regardless of who they are, then I must too.
My life is fulfilled in Him, my expectations are always in my favor since I know He listens to my pleas.
I am at peace, content and willing to share this wonderful experience.
I pray for all of you on this forum for your lives to prosper as God gives blessings, whether you all believe it or not, doesn't matter, my prayers still stand and are answered on His terms.
You all are intelligent folks; some with high IQ's, and with eloquent delivery of speech.
I am not so, but I am a spiritually oriented individual with limited abilities to express my views, yet I am not dissuade any.
I hope this gives you a clue as to have a picture of me not with nose in the bible, but rather one who knows the bible as written in my heart, to live a normal life yet share God's love.
Peace>>>AJ
