What nonsense are the American 'declinists' spouting about Britain now?

Well, at least you admit it.

Britain will never get her empire back and start dominating the globe again until we kick out the deeply-rooted and hard-to-shift lefty liberal anti-British British Establishment which has badly run this country since the 1960s, an Establishment which has continually run it down, talked it down and overrun it with foreigners, and get people in the job again who can run Britain properly and seek to advance her interests by using her military might around the world (what military might we have Left after your lot on the Left keep running it down so we can instead pay for needless things like child benefit and Bangladeshi community centres). Defence spending needs to be increased to 10% of GDP and the Royal Navy made the biggest navy in the world again. In order for a Pax Britannica II we need this to happen and Ukip and their friends will keep on working hard to ensure it. The world needs another British Empire. It needs British global dominance, not Yankee or Chinky global dominance.

That's quite the fantasy you have there, BL. Whether it will be true of course remains to be seen, but I highly doubt the rest of the world would accept a British Control over the Globe again.

The Globe actually needs less of "Pax" anything and more sticking to your own country.

They hardly had much choice before so why would they have much choice again? Britain used to be able to do anything it wanted through its gunboat diplomacy.

No. The world was much better off when the British Empire was around. Countries like Zimbabwe were better off under British rule than they are now and the Jamaicans wish to be run by Britain again. This world will be better with the British Empire around.

I know I spend a great deal of time thinking about the decline of Angland no question about it.

National decline isn't necessarily terminal and can be reversed with the right leadership and policies.

The British Empire was at its greatest extent in terms of land area in 1922 when it covered over 13 million square miles, nearly a QUARTER of all Earth's land area.

In terms of population it reached its maximum extent in 1938 when it held sway over a colossal 533 million people, or around a QUARTER of all humanity at that time. To put that into perspective, that would be the equivalent of Britain ruling around 1.8 BILLION people today. That's more people than ruled by the Chinese Government. The British Empire was bigger, in terms of proportion of global population, in those days than China is now.

The poorly-educated Septics really need to understand that the loss of 13 minor colonies in North America was really no big deal for the British Empire and certainly didn't spell the end for it. The British Empire was the global hegemon throughout the whole of the 19th Century and well into the 20th.

Are you telling me that none of it is true?

So when WAS the greatest extent of the British Empire? You're obviously a learned individual and an expert on such matters.

Briddin will never get her empire back with whingy mediocrities like you among their populace.

As is evidenced by your "your lot" comment. Anyone who thinks I have anything whatsoever to do with Briddin is well and truly down the rabbit hole.

Still fun watching you and yours circle the drain. As I've said before, your forefathers bestrode the planet. How on earth did their descendants become such drooling defectives?

All those with any brains or ambition emmigrated to here long ago. What we left behind were the stupid, lazy and Upper Classes.

Canadians have never lost a war. I wonder what it feels like?

One of the main reasons for that is that we have chosen to not circle the planet, spoiling for a fight as have our other English speaking British and American brethren. Both of them have tallied up all sorts of defeats persuing unnecessary colonial adventures ... The Kyber Pass, Vietnam, the American Revolution, The War of 1812, Iraq, ..

Rwanda, Libya

Whoops!
You mean, the ONE GUY that we had in Rwanda who couldn't stop a genocide constitutes a military defeat?

Libya ...you've sure got me there. Perhaps, it's a sort of a random country name game?
