There are some members of the BC Fruit Growers Association coming to Regina
for the Agribition in November. What kind of entertainment is there after the
Agribition closes around 7pm. Are there sports events the week of Nov 22 through27
Is there a WHL game somewhere in the area? Moose Jaw and Regina have teams
I know. We have the Kelowna Rockets in the same league.
I am also a Saskatchewan Roughrider Fan but I don't know where the Rider Store is.
We are going to have some fun though, we are bringing apples for taste testing and
some for sale, bu we are really coming to promote the apple industry and have some
fun, getting to know people in your market area.
Some want to know if there is any special events, from sport to music stars during
that week. Looking forward to it.

I hear getting mugged is a fun pastime in Regina. Drive by shootings are always good for excitement. (I'm just going by what Ron and Petros have been saying)

Are you supposed to wear appropriate clothing for the mugging or is it a
casual event. One wants to be well dressed for police interviews do they
not? Is it better to blend in and if so how, or should you stand out like a
pick me pick me sign. Somehow I didn't have getting mugged in mind.

I hope you're a drinker.

Pats go on the road during the Bovine Ballet (Agribition) so look up the schedule for the Warriors in the Jaw. Might be a Rider game. Entertainment is nightly at several locations and the bars are open extra late. Oh and the Hookers are on 5th and 6th between Elphinstone and Albert streets and some closer to Ron.

The Hookers (those ones, anyway) are conveniently located close to the
Exhibition Grounds where Agribition takes place. Drinking does sound like
the official sport (after-hours) for most of the Exibitors....so don't be surprised
by that. Exibitors come from all over the world to get drunk nightly in Regina for
that span of time. Several Bars open for that week on the Grounds themselves,
with dances, some bands, lots of Rodeo leftovers, etc....

After hours? Is Bailey's and coffee for breakfast considered after hours?

Don't bring a toboggan that's for sure.

Ron we have accommodation and a truck load of apples for this event. The
BC Fruit Growers Association is experimenting with promotion and Public
Relations. We are hoping to make this an annual event, some others include
taking soft fruit to Calgary for Stampede, and Edmonton for Klondike Days
and also to the PNE in Vancouver. I thought the Agribition would be a good
start. It is a challenge to plan, logistics are a challenge and I have to make
some serious decisions on the fly. We are booking radio time and I am
currently writing and producing the radio commercials, In fact I will be
voicing them this week, to play on radio in Regina There is a couple of other
media events planned for the event as well. We have two booths and we
have farmers coming to answers peoples questions. we will feature taste
testing of Ambrosia and Spartan apples, and in future years we will bring
other varieties as well. There will also be really good quality fruit for sale.
I want to know where the Regina Roughrider store is, I was told there is a
store specifically for their stuff. As a Rider Fan I want to take that in for sure.
We have to keep our farmers happy, so we are looking for entertainment
good places to eat, have a few drinks and yes we will check out the Warriors
hope they have a home game. I will be there on the 19th to do radio promotion
and interviews, sure would be nice to take in a Riders game.
I will be there Nov. 19th through the 27 and heading home the 28th.
Ron you will have to come by the booth

Bring flat warm boots and a warm coat, a scarf, a toque and drink beer. Best advice i can give as from Alberta Saskatchewan is all downhill from here. Why you can almost coast there in your car.

petros of course I want everyone to come by and say hello, especially some of
the Saskatchewan fruit growers. Believe it or not there are some apple growers
there. I am hoping we can talk with them as well while we're there. I hope to
encourage them and if there is anything we can do to help them be successful
is actually good for BC growers too.
