On behalf of Western Canadians our response isn't just no. It's Fuck No!
If that's what it takes to get a western alliance going than I say the end justifies the means. I'd rather have someone else than Freeland but .... who would it be.

100 seats easily won and an eventual path to smaller regional jurisdictions representing the inhabitants of those places.

Between watching her lie and get caught about Erin O’toole & her manipulated media thing….& that orgasm she was having at the podium announcing that she was freezing bank accounts during that Ottawa parking fiasco…I second the “Fuck No!” motion.
Like no one else in that talent pool has a few skeletons hanging in their closet.

Canada isn't going to survive as it is much longer.

I can see why she quit now. Thinking they might eke out more than $40 billion deficit, they missed the target by a little bit: $61.9 billion.

Ugh….& I believe there’s NINE Cabinet positions for Trudeau to fill sometime this week with whatever warm bodies are willing to take them. So much for fiscal guardrails…

The sources say Mr. Trudeau was direct in the call, telling her that by Tuesday morning she would no longer be Finance Minister and that the job would be handed to Mr. Carney, former governor of the Bank of Canada and Bank of England. The Prime Minister still expected her to deliver the economic and fiscal update on Monday that showed she would miss the government’s promised $40.1-billion deficit target by more than $20-billion.
The Globe and Mail is not identifying the officially unofficial Liberal Party sources who were not authorized to publicly discuss what transpired in talks between Mr. Trudeau and Ms. Freeland, etc…same old same old.

Just hours before she was due to give her fall economic statement, she quit.
Mr. Carney did not take up the offer. After Ms. Freeland resigned, the Prime Minister named Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc, a close friend, as Finance Minister ‘cuz Frankie Bubbles said “Nope” & the Randy’s (Randy B, Other Randy, Cocaine Randy, Indigenous Randy, Métis Randy, etc…) had already shuffled out, & somebody had to.

While Freeland rightly left cabinet due to the disloyalty shown to her by Trudeau, it does not absolve her poor record as finance minister. Had Freeland actually delivered the fall economic statement (FES) to the House of Commons, she would have been forced to present a deficit just short of $62 billion.
When the Conservatives form a majority government, they will be faced with the Herculean challenge of shoring up the budget, and this will be no easy task.
