I'd rather watch paint dry than watch Gorilla Pinball...er...the NHL.

The Owners blew it when they built all of the new rinks. They should have gone somewhere in between Olympic size ice and NHL size ice to accommodate today's bigger players and bigger equipment. This would've allowed the Stars time to dazzle, but still keep the physical play. Head shots and other injuries would go down as players would have time to react.

The Art is gone from the game.

Every goal now is a deflection from the point off of some guy's nuts...a screen shot or a wrap-around. I simply can't watch anymore, and I played the game my whole life.

Much better result against the Islanders tonight. OT game winning goal came off a great assist by Crosby across the goal-mouth to Letang for a quick shot to the net.

Penguins 3 - Islanders 2

Wayne Gretzky lending his voice to ’The Simpsons’

Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky will become the first hockey player to lend his voice to “The Simpsons,” when he appears in an episode set to air next month.
“Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean tells NHL.com that the show was looking for “heroes of winter” for the Dec. 11th episode “and there couldn’t be a bigger hockey hero than Wayne Gretzky.”
Gretzky, known as “The Great One” in hockey circles, won four Stanley Cups with the Edmonton Oilers before moving on to play for Los Angeles, St. Louis and the New York Rangers. The Oilers tweeted out a picture of the cartoon version of Gretzky, in which he has four fingers on each hand and yellow skin, just like other “Simpsons” characters.
The league’s website says that Gretzky recorded his role over the summer.

harken back to the good old days of NHL - how I miss that great time ~ game ended in a six man near brawl but the officials stopped it before the benches emptied

Pit 2

Rangers appeared to be in trouble with the recent loss of Mika Zibanejad who will be out for 6-8.

Pit started out strong as Gopherland's baby faced Jake Guentzal scored on his first shift & first shot. He scored again shortly thereafter. The Guentzals are well known locally because of his dad's coaching success at the University of Minnesota and other venues. But the Rangers kept their composure and dominated the rest of the game. Anti Raanta excelled at the net for the win.

good for the rangers, I just saw beginning part of the game, and it seemed that pittburgh was going
to slap them around big time, but those rangers have a real nice team this season, good win for them.
