Isles again start out strong but weaken as the game progresses. Perhaps their bench strength is not good enough to win these games and you have to wonder how much they will have left for the long playoffs.

When the Ottawa Senators decide to honor a player they do it up in style. They spent an entire hour honoring Alfie tonight. His entire family was there, old teammates came dressed in the various jerseys that Alfie wore as a Senator during the 17 years he played with them. There were retrospectives, speeches and the final raising of Alfie's number 11 to the rafter, never again to be worn by an Ottawa player. It was a wonderful ceremony, if just a tad too long.
Great end to a fine day of hockey - I got to watch the Penguins play the Habs. I have somewhat divided loyalties when these two play as I grew up a Habs fan and, they are my favorite Canadian team. This has been a great game and it took until OT for the Pens to pull out the win.
