Then it's "Conservative Canada" by your odd naming convention.
It’s…awkward, is what it is. It’s more like “Liberal Canada” more than 1/2 of the time, & “Cleaning up after Liberal Canada” less than 1/2 the time.

I was just try’n to figure out what you meant by “Liberal Canada” so I could try to answer what you where ask’n on the previous page or at least offer an opinion without being way off on a tangent….

Well, that's entirely possible. I mean, c'mon, can you imagine True Dope listening to and comprehending a CSIS briefing without finger puppets?

Maybe it would help if we lent you the Catheter Cowboy. . .
Heck, any PM who denies being briefed on such a critical matter to his country is utterly unfit for the job.

Like we didn't already know that.
Canada needs a public inquiry into allegations of Chinese election interference, Canada former spymaster says.

Speaking in an interview with The West Block‘s Mercedes Stephenson, airing Sunday, Richard Fadden, the former head of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service and former national security advisor to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, said he “can’t see any compelling reason not to” hold a public inquiry.

Fadden was appointed National Security Adviser in early 2015 by Stephen Harper.

As national security and intelligence adviser, Fadden's "insistence that foreign powers, notably the Chinese Communist Party, had cultivated agents of influence at various levels of government in Canada" hurt his standing with the Liberal Party of Canada, which became the governing party of Canada in late 2015. Fadden was replaced by Daniel Jean, who lacked experience in either national security or intelligence.

Fadden's concerns have since been borne out by a series of revelations, including a Financial Times investigation that cast light on "an internal document prepared by the overseas section of Beijing’s United Front Works Department" that showed how China was influencing electoral politics in foreign countries.

Richard (Dick) Brian Marcel Fadden retired on March 31st, 2016….so that would put the Briefings that Justin Trudeau ‘didn’t have’ back at least that far, predating the Federal Elections in both 2019 & 2021 by several years.

Roger the fuck outta that!

Need to comb this one out, separate the politics from the bullshit from the actual possible crimes. It's a damn mare's nest.

If ya can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit. Throw up so much crap nobody can focus on the key parts. Papa Trump must be SO proud!

Public inquiries go no where . There are a million of them collecting dust in the library . If CSIS has the goods make some criminal charges and put it before the courts .

Bombshell allegations from intelligence sources that a sitting Liberal MP is a witting affiliate of the Chinese government’s attempts to interfere in Canada’s democracy are renewing concerns over foreign meddling in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 elections.

‘The West Block’ host Mercedes Stephenson sat down with former CSIS director Dick Fadden, former Conservative MP Kenny Chiu and Global News investigative reporter Sam Cooper to discuss whether a public inquiry is necessary to investigate foreign election interference.

The push for some form of public inquiry isn’t limited to the Liberals’ political opponents, but former senior national security officials and a former close confidant of the prime minister.

“Some form of non-partisan deep look has to happen here,” Gerald Butts, Trudeau’s former principal secretary, told Global News in an interview Sunday.

Well, where there’s smoke, Justin’s pants may very well be on fire. Wouldn’t be the first, or second, etc…time.

At a recent House of Commons committee meeting, Liberal MP Jennifer O’Connell accused Conservative MPs of deploying “Trump-type tactics” by asking questions about foreign interference.

Asked directly if he would convene a public inquiry into foreign interference, Trudeau said he “welcomed” the reviews underway at committees, but did not answer the question. The Prime Minister’s Office did not respond to requests for clarification Saturday.

And pander to the immigrant and minority communities or is that covered in the cheat and steal part ?
That's more gerrymandering. Immigrants typically are more loyal to the party in power when they arrive. I guess it depends on how specific you want to be in Liberal cheating categorization.

Sunlight is the only disinfectant that will kill the opportunistic pathogen of foreign interference.

There have been calls for a public inquiry into election interference from former head of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Richard Fadden, and others, but Trudeau has again dismissed such talk as undermining democracy.

Senator Ian Shugart, a former clerk of the privy council who sat on the Critical Election Incident Public Protocol panel in 2019, said the government should be as transparent as it can be while respecting the operational requirements of the intelligence agencies. “The integrity of our institutions is at risk if we don’t get this right,” he said.

Trudeau would like this story to die, but it is too late. Like energy, it can’t be destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. That means airing all the facts, whatever the consequences.

Justin Trudeau said Monday that asking questions about MPs being influenced by China is racist and that security agencies don’t get to decide who runs in elections. Trudeau was responding to the latest bombshell allegations that China has interfered in Canada’s last two elections, including to help the Liberal Party win.

Well, knew that was coming. “Racist misogynistic misogynists with unacceptable thoughts, etc…” Oh well…

“In a free democracy, it is not up to unelected security officials to dictate to political parties who can or cannot run,” Trudeau said when asked directly about the claims.

That’s true, but after spending months telling Canadians we can be sure that our elections are safe due to the work of Canada’s security and intelligence agencies, it’s odd that Trudeau would attack them. When pressed again on this issue, a reporter looking for a clear answer was told it’s racist to ask.

“One of the things we’ve seen, unfortunately, over the past years is a rise in anti-Asian racism linked to the pandemic and concerns being raised or arisen around people’s loyalties,” Trudeau said.

Actually, those suggestions should be entertained, examined and decided based on facts. Trudeau himself says that we need to take the issue of China’s interference seriously, so he shouldn’t play the racism card.
