Taking a confrontational attitude with border guards in many places will result in this kind of reaction, showing a little respect can get you through the border crossing no problem.

Good point . Once you are through the border post, you are away from 'anyone's little empire.'

No you're not. Then you're an out of State vehicle. What's the policy on out of State vehicles? Pull them all over.

From what I heard, Canadian guy acted like a dink, border patrol guy pretty much did too. When two "sames" meet they collide and it's a hate fest.

The Border Patrol guy was a tool. However the other guy became one just as much.

And sure, you can question and get confrontational. Just as long as you'd rather spend time in the Guard Shack or the lock up instead of at the mall.
I've only had issues coming home and of course the one plate on an out of State vehicle. It was a trooper who let me know I wasn't being singled out, they just pull over all out of State vehicle as normal protocol.

Oh and being pulled over for fruit, that was a rush.

So, one trooper tells you that they pull all out of state vehicles means that ALL law enforcement in the u.s. does that?

Dumb Canuck. You don't buck the rules when in someone else's house even if the rules are oppressive and the people enforcing the rules are somewhat irrational and openly suspect you are the worst sort of human on the planet.
So Cannucklehead reds this. I guess that means he thinks anyone can go anywhere they wish and disobey laws, rules, etc. Guess he wouldn't mind someone sh|tting in his living room, then; or shooting his wife, gf, bf, or whatever he calls a partner. Whatta f'n maroon.

"I know you are but what am I" mentality from both parties is damn silly BUT to not question authority is capitulation.

I kinda prefer the questioning of authority over capitulation and there are ways of standing your ground without reverting to grade 3 mentality.

This is an example of how not to stand your ground.

To me, it just depends on how much time I want to spend arguing in comparison to how much time I want to spend going about my business.

...as if that's ever going to happen.

Actually, in 1862 the Canadian dollar was equivelent to 2.63 cents American. There were various calls for 'return to parity'.
the Confederate buck was worth 1.00 US- at Gettysburg, when Confederate agents were purchasing horses, crops, and anything that was not nailed down..

From the moment he stepped inside the building, this guy was a total retard just begging to get arrested. The border gaurds didnt push until it was time to push back, imo.

Say what?! Confederate script was worth NOTHING in the North. Some of the Rebels gave graybacks for what they stole during the Gettysburg campaign but it was worthless.

They paid at the end of a gun. The Confederates took what they wanted and mostly left IOUs if they even bothered to do that.

The grayback was worthless in the North. The equivalent of monopoly money.

Correction- the CDN dollar averaged 1.45 during the civil war years, was as high as 1.63. the dollar reverted to the gold standard on a one to one par during the great greenback redemption.
