That's better than the ratio I've been receiving lately, mind you mine changes drastically if you take a couple of nutters out of the equation.-:)

I just did my bit to help improve your ratio. It's my good deed for the day, lol.

Don't worry about Teddy- he's a proven liar! -:)

- JLM ... Very little is ever proven around here because the preponderance of lefties here who mostly seem to have ADD which prevents them from reading let alone thinking through anything that won't fit on a bumper sticker are incapable of any thought that is independent or not based primarily on how they can purloin other people's hard earned money by government seizure (e.g. for these selfish clowns, the top 10% of wage earners paying 70% of the income taxes is "not enough" and the bottom 47% paying 0% of the income taxes is "too much").

- However, one of the few things that has been pretty well proven here is that you are the dumbest poster on the board.

- As for me, if I were really aproven liar instead of being painfully and sometimes inconveniently plain spoken, why then I'd be a lefty just like you.

Nah, just the third dumbest, there's you and one other lunatic ahead of me!

OK, back to the original post...

First my disclaimers. I am an Albertan living in the US (Western PA). I view myself as a centrist, having never voted NDP or Liberal in all my years in Canada, but I find the religious right in the US and their hold of the GOP frightening, in terms of the ramifications of the rights of those that don't believe as they do. This probably means I am a "lefty" by Teddy's definition.

There is no such thing as "too good a man" in modern politics: they are ALL sleaze bags and liars. I tend to be harder on the social conservatives because they loudly profess a faith that is at odds with that type of behaviour, but they are just as guilty as the rest.

Romney lost because he is a poster child for what is wrong with our present generation of capitalist tycoons. Instead of building a society to build their fortunes, they are in favour of dismantling it. Couple that with more flip-flops than John Kerry and a lack of tact in dealing with anyone that wasn't part of his base, and it was a recipe for disaster.

For Republicans to rise, they need to revamp their attitude. Independents want someone to work on fixing what is wrong, not the constant partisan BS that is going on, led by the Tea Partiers and their steadfast refusal to do the job they are elected to do: govern the country, cooperatively with the other House and Executive Branch. Boehner & Co. saying they won't work with the President makes for cool sound bites but it does NOTHING to attack the problems facing the country. A lot of people I know who voted Democrat did so for just that reason. The second most popular sentiment was that they didn't want to elect people who have a more common attitude with the gov't of Iran than other free nations.

- The author of the blog 'Lonely Conservative' certainly makes a cogent case for this opinion, arguing that honesty, enterprise, self reliance and other character traits formerly seen as being virtues that made America great have been replaced in the political realm by dishonesty, opportunism, bribery, hypocrisy, deception and manipulation.

- If the author is right, it is as easy to see why Romney is too good for the presdiency as it is to see why Obama is perfect for it.

It’s Not Romney’s Fault Our Population Has Been Infantilized

Nope... it's Bush's

"Dishonesty, opportunism, bribery, hypocrisy, deception and manipulation."

Reminds me of the entire Bush Jr. / D*ck Cheney Era.... but that list is missing a few other things they were good at.

- JLM ... Your memory seldom serves you correctly but in this case you are half right which, for you, is astonishingly good. I did indeed put some of those stupid red minus signs beside some of your posts BUT ONLY AFTER YOU had put minus signs beside several of my posts and it appeared that you were going to childishly make a habit of it.

Just to recap, you said:
"by childishly putting little red minus signs beside posts you don't like, you appear to also be retarded"

So instead, you admit you did the same, "BUT ONLY AFTER YOU had put minus signs beside several of my posts"

..... And that's not "childish??"

HE STARTED IT!!!

HIS ELBOW'S ON MY SIDE!!! MMMOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!

"... putting little red minus signs beside posts you don't like..."

^ That's what they're there for.... if there is a post you don't like or disagree with, you put a red thumbs down on it.

If it is a post that you agree with or think was good, you put a green thumb up on it.

Pretty simple stuff, but you seem to think that's not what they're there for.

So enlighten us all.... what are they there for and how do you use them??

I must have been going about them the wrong way this whole time. Boy is my face red.

After you stopped, I stopped. If it were up to me, there would be no minus or even plus signs and people would be forced to either attempt to make a coherent and cogent opinion or to STFU.

"Coherent and cogent opinion or to STFU" huh??

Can everybody see who just typed that??

But since there are these silly little plus and minus signs, I do acknowledge my appreciation for those kind and discerning folks (you know who you are and so do I) who have given me a plus to minus ration of 3 or 4 to 1.

Guess I haven't been doing my job enough.

Oh, and it's "Ratio".... not a fixed allowance of provisions or food, unless you think +/- Reps are limited, which I haven't run out yet and have plenty to hand around.

I was actually looking for a picture of a broken Soap Box for you, but this was all I could find:

Still suits you.... you're going nowhere.

- This is because you and your little colony of lunatic left wing fringers all wear little little Chairman Mao jackets and march along in intellectual (using the word in its loosest construction) lock step agreeing on every idiotic and discredited lefty notion that arises.

- Other than in communist countries and in several inner city precencts during the recent US elections and in third world dictatorships and, of course, on left wing dominated discussion boards, NOBODY has a 20 to 1 let along a 50 to 1 approval ratio.

Take a look at the number of greens others on here get. Way more than you and walter combined.
PS There is donkey doo doo on your jackboots.
