The chief military correspondent of CNN Jim Sciutto ("American Korotchenko") citing "senior sources in the U.S. Navy" announced that U.S. Navy ships "within 24 hours" will pass at a distance of 12 miles from the Chinese artificial islands in the South China sea, that is, from the point of view of China, it will be demonstrative violation of territorial waters by the US military. CNN sources claim that the military has the authorization of the White House.
The Chinese have already warned officially that they are ready to use force in response to such provocations -
12 miles is the territorial limit. In short, the U.S. is going to "walk on the edge".
