Well, that can't be comfortable. Still, if you're getting good bricks out of it, probably worth it.
Of course it is. It's politics. You expected perhaps high-minded debate and gentlemanly conduct?
Where's the one with Harper losing billions and people saying he's a steward of the economy?
It is better to have all the facts before voting. I wouldn't give the job of financial adviser to the guy, I knew robbed my house. If one considers their government as the main house, then the voter is smart to do their own checking before entering the voting booth. We demand and sometimes get honesty from our other institutions, why not from those who want to run and protect our main house, the government of the population they wish to serve.
Oh and voting for the person who promises to satisfy one personal desire and ignoring all the other broken promises made previously is senseless. In my opinion, an ad presenting facts that are on record is called an attack ad, to divert one's attention from the truth. It is not just smart but important to choose the person with perhaps a less palatable agenda but a better record of keeping as much as possible to his/her stated policies.
