Or, they could have just put a ban on price gouging like BC just did.
It's not just the US doing this but other countries too.
While OPEC 'thinks about' dealing with the issue.
The US doesn't need to import OPEC oil. It's a political choice.
Where could the US have found a safe, secure, close supply of oil & petroleum products to avoid the whims of the OPEC cartel. Maybe Venezuela? Siberia? Nigeria?
It is only an issue because mindless politicians meddled in the market place for political gain. Now we are all paying the price.
BC froze fuel prices because of the recent flooding. Also a 30L/day limit on gas buying. Except for commercial of course. Probably works fin around the city, but in rural areas where we drive long distances it is a bit of a pain. Stop in every town along the way and get your 30L.
