US identifies agents behind Russian hack

The US has identified the Russian agents behind the hacking ahead of the presidential election won by Donald Trump in November, reports say.

Vice-President Joe Biden lambasted the president-elect on Thursday for attacking the intelligence community over the claims, saying it was "absolutely mindless" not to have faith in the agencies.

Mr Biden said he had read a US intelligence agencies report outlining Russian involvement, the details of which are starting to emerge in US media.

According to CNN, the Washington Post and NBC News citing intelligence sources, agencies had intercepted communications in the aftermath of the election showing senior Russian government officials celebrating Donald Trump's win over rival Hillary Clinton.

I'm so sick of hearing about this Russian hacking BS that I'm not listening to the news any more until somebody tells me it's finished.
There are so many other things more important that should be on the table but all they talk about is Russia.
So Russia hacked (or did not hack) Russia did this, Russia did that, Russia wants to undermine democracy all over the world.
So What? Russia is not succeeding so why not forget about them and get on with the democratic process.
Everything Americans accuse Russia of doing America has also done.
The only thing threatening democracy is the way the American politicians are carrying on with their infighting.

If there was evidence of it, I'm sure there would be near universal calls for a complete investigation. Canadians would consider it an attack on the country.

If your only evidence is that people who wanted Donald to win were being happy after he won you got nada.

On another note IF this really was even remotely true don't you think the outrage should be at the electoral system using methods with such minimal security that the Russians could easily hack into it. I got better security than that on my laptop and phone FFS.
