You get a strong reaction because you irritate and piss people off. It has nothing to do with your ability to perceive anything about them.

You need to learn when to back off.

It's very irritating being pointed out our flaws. I understand.

In 2011, German Police fired an overall of 85 shots (49 of those being warning shots, 36 targeted - killing 6).

Thats quite low compared to what they were doing through most of the 20th century.

Grand Canyon is on my bucket list.

My mother and her bf just went last month. The pics were pretty impressive. They didnt go to the edge though.

GoreObsessed is someone who I believe, has failed early on in his life. Instead of learning and continuing his efforts, he has given up on the system and blames the system for his failure.

Some people look inwards after failure to try and change things they have control over.
Some people look outwards after failure to try and change things they have zero control over.

He is one of those later ones, who never accomplish anything in their lives, because their energy is simply spent on things they have no control over.

Cliffy is the same.

I use to be like that too. ;)

There is a dimension to Cliffy that sometimes comes to the same conclusions I've arrived at; but through a very different process of reasoning.

...
You should catch up on current events of the last 75 - 80 years then reassess that statement. lol.

There are a lot of things I should do.

Don't be silly

Korea? At best a draw with the Chinese. The Chinese believe they won that war.

Vietnam? Lost in the streets of America.

Gulf War? It was just a phase in a war that didn't end. Carthage won many phases of the Punic Wars, but lost the conflict.

Cold War? That conflict wasn't a war in the strict sense. In any event the American arms build up and Saudi flooding the market with oil undercut the Soviets.

Kosovo? We ended up creating a safe harbor used by terrorists.

Iraq War? We lost.

Afghanistan War. We're in the process of losing. One either kills all the fuzzy wuzzies or one doesn't engage.

War on Global Terrorism? We're losing.

Pretty much lost ,except Vietnam was never a war hence there was never an attempt to win .
If America wanted to end Vietnam they would have declared war and taken Hanoi instantly .
Fear of Soviet and Chinese reprisal and the scare of global war lost Vietnam far before American public opinion .

Evil Empire
American foreign policy is the problem. If you guys would stop all this armed intervention if foreign countries there wouldn't be "terrorist" retaliation. America is the biggest, best organized and armed terrorist organization and the biggest threat to world peace. The military/industrial complex demands a constant state of war to maintain its profit margins.

I doubt you believe all this babble.if you do, kindly provide proof.

Not sure if that is funny or pathetic.

I'll go out on a limb and say both :p

Not sure either, but it is partially true.

Et tu, Brute?

If you truly believe what you've posted you will be disheartened to know that isolationism is something the bases of both the Republican and Democratic parties agree on. Actually, of the four schools of American foreign policy thinking the Isolationist/Neoisolationist School has been dominant for most of American history. It should be clear that policies emanating from the Realist, Neo-Conservative and Internationalist Schools of thought lead to empire and war for a political culture that can't fight wars successfully... in the absence of a direct attack on the American homeland...and even then for no longer than three years. Besides, only isolationist foreign policy permits the existence of limited govt.

I'm not disheartened, I know what you say to be true, that doesn't mean I have to agree with all the time.

It would be impossible to educate someone who is willfully ignorant of his own country's history, but if you are truly interested yo might start with Veterans against war.
"The warlike attitude of the US had its birth in King Philip's War, which predated the country and set it on its current militaristic path. The United States has been at war almost continually since 1776. In the past 236 years we have been fighting some type of conflict for 214 years or about 90% of the time". Jun 25, 2012

Then join the army and go kill you some and stop haunting the forums with your BS.

I've considered it. Certainly wouldn't have a moral problem with it, Like the bunch of bleeding harts do.

The US police only kill black guys who have their hands up, walking backwards towards the police. Just ask BHO.
