Whether you're pro mandate or not - this is wrong. That should be obvious to anyone. I notice the mainstream media isn't picking it up yet. It's just in the small town local papers around bc. DIsgusting to attack mothers like that - in fairness if anyone has legit concerns about what a new vaccine might do it's a pregnant or breast feeding mom.

I am not a lawyer, and do not even play one in TV, but they could show up to work and then be fired per mandate (which I don't think matters anymore -- at this point covid is nothing vaxed or unvaxed) but since they returned to work they are covered.

I can see where possibly the government can fire them for not having a shot when they return to work, but the original agreement said nothing about changes in government policy affecting money they were legally allowed to collect.
Doesn't sound like their union has the balls to stand up to the NDPee either.

Covid is here to stay and is 'something we all have to deal with'.

At this point, if someone is choosing not to vaccinate then that and the repercussions of it are on them (and sadly in this case, on the infants/young kids in their lives).

However.

Losing their jobs for not fulfilling the terms of employment is one thing and fair. Paying back money though, that's beyond a little much. That's penalizing them for getting pregnant at the 'wrong time'. No, just cut them off if they won't comply with employment regulations and leave it at that.

They must be happy for their union contract and the dues they pay .

Sure am left wondering why the B.C. Health is so understaffed .

Totally a stupid policy that has absolutely no basis in fact.

Women who are pregnant or breast feeding SHOULD NOT take the jab because of the negative reports. No way would anyone talk me into getting a vax that is experimental and that doesn't work over all.
