Russia and Israel dont resemble the Soviet Union in any real way. Corruption, spies, secrecy - yeah thats all there but thats present everywhere to some degree.

They never went away. One thing is certain, Baird won't dare bring up support for Israel in Ukraine.
A year ago I wrote a post about the Ukraine with letters from John Baird about a free trade agreement the PC's were pushing for . Many argued that this would never happen there and that it is not so bad in Ukraine. Well here we are a year later watching as Yanuconvict and his cohorts cling to power with the backing of the criminal rich and Russia. Have many friends and relatives there who are trying to leave as the arrests have started along with threats and media blackouts. I hope this will end peacefully but if history is correct this will turn very badly.
What's with the hatred of Jews vs Ukraine? My grandparents came to Canada in the 20's from the Ukraine. My grandfather was really anti-jew; my grandmother not. I never could understand or get him to explain why he hated the Jews so much. Maybe Petros you can enlighten me because I support both the existence of Isreal and the indpendence of Ukraine.
Capitulation during the Ukraine/Russian war. They embraced Bolshevism and turned on their own countrymen. The majority then became the tyrant Komissars. It goes even further back in Western Ukraine where they were tyrant landlords for the Polish.
Oppression, oppression and even more oppression on the Orthodox and Catholic Ukrainians.`
10 Million Orthodox and Catholics were staved to death in the Holodomor. It was these Jewish capitulating Bolshevik Komissars who inflicted the suffering on the people of Ukraine.
To this day they deny the Holodomor and their involvement.
There is no love for Russia or Israel in Ukraine. Russian is spoken more than Hebrew in Israel. They've even gone as far as honouring the Red Army and have dedicated a piece of Jerusalem as Russian turf.
All you have to do is look it up and you can learn about what happened and why there is hatred today.
Bolshevism is alive and well in Moscow and Tel Aviv.
