Yulia Tymoshenko asks not to be considered for premier's seat

1358178152_timoshenko16.jpgBatkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has asked not to be considered for the post of prime minister of Ukraine.

"I was surprised to learn that I’m being considered for the position of prime minister of Ukraine. Nobody discussed this issue with me. Thank you for the compliment, but please do not consider my candidacy for the post of head of government," Yulia Tymoshenko said.

..... when I show them what you write they think how is it possible that people who live here in Canada and the USA can be so stupid to believe the propaganda that the Russians put out about the big conspiracy with the US and Canada trying to control Ukraine.
When they travel to Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan then they will see what Western democracy is all about. Not a big deal to Russia as a short time will see the US puppet come to power and then they will see what abuse really looks like, unless your friends are the few who will get rich off the coup (like the old PM who went to jail because of her corruption. Did your friends get all the money back she swindled from the people???
I suppose the first item on the list will be to pay off all the debt they owe Russia.

MHz I will also add , and I usually never say this , if you think Russia has such a great country and is so fair , equal and advanced maybe consider immigrating there for we here in Canada and Ukraine are obviously far to inferior for you .
Maybe you should go to the Ukraine and run your mouth off over there since their welfare is so high on your list of thing that rock your world.

No I won't bet because I know that's exactly what will happen-see my remarks re:'not the sharpest knives in the drawer'.

Of the articles I've been reading her daughter seems to be quite involved, like mother like daughter. No doubt the mom is going to enjoy her loot now that her cronies have had her sprung from prison, or was it a mental facility?

It would be very nice if you actually answered on everything and not take short comments out of context and I lived over there thank you very much . If you had been actually reading all I have written on Ukraine you would know that . You also sound like a very bitter person towards Canada and the USA.
I will assume you live here and enjoy being able to comment freely on the people and government without being worried about being thrown out a window or shot which is called freedom of speech and expression which WE DO enjoy here in the west. I will also point out that we can protest , meet and have rights here as citizens which some folks forget , that freedom was fought for and paid for in the blood of our grandfathers , fathers sons and daughters. Just a reminder for you.
Now in Ukraine the people want that kind of freedom and you are saying they are wrong to want that ?
By reading your comments and thoughts you are saying these people deserve to die and it is all our fault here in the west because the Ukrainians are not able to think for themselves which is where I take offense because that would be a lie.

Then make the comments longer so they can't be taken out of context. Are your friends all pro-western? So you encourage violent protests to unseat an elected Government rather that doing in elections when your preferred (corrupt) leaders can't gain the support of the voting majority. That would also mean you support outside intervention by Nations (such as the US and Canada) when it suits their purpose. You raelly think this overthrow will help the poorest in the land, I don't because the US and Canada are all about enhancing just 3% of the population and to hell with the rest. Of the $35B that the West will 'loan them at high interest) what will be the split between the 3% and the 97%, in typical western fashion (these days) it will be $34B for the 3% and %1B of the 97%.

Canada doesn't make any decisions on it's own and it hasn't for decades, I don't have to admire that 'fall'. The US is the same as it only does what the International Banksters tell it to do or do you see the US as being a harmonious place for the last decade?

Feel free to dispute any of this issues as they apply to the current world (rather than what happened a century ago)

If you want to bitch at me for my views of Canada and the US use some specific examples and not try to make into a blanket condemnation.

Don't assume anything about me, you would probably get it wrong for starters, like this fine example.
So would you support a violent overthrow of the Government if your favorite party wasn't elected at the polls because that is what you are promoting in the Ukraine. It is two-faced at best.

Now in Ukraine the people want that kind of freedom and you are saying they are wrong to want that ?
The West is backing the ones who lost in the fair and balanced election. The US only wants election where their candidate comes to power and in case you haven't noticed they start guerrilla warfare when that doesn't happen, use Cuba and Iran and Venezuela as recent examples. There is nothing to admire about that.

By reading your comments and thoughts you are saying these people deserve to die and it is all our fault here in the west because the Ukrainians are not able to think for themselves which is where I take offense because that would be a lie.
Don't put words in my mouth. The overthrow was orchestrated by the west that is why it happened right after the Gov agreed to let Russia loan them $15B and get a reduced price on NG. Why do they suddenly need an extra $20B and what is the payout on that loan since it will be coming from the IMF you can bet it is one that can never be repaid so the country will be raped of it's natural resources. It would seem that it is you who doesn't care about the long term welfare of that Nation although your friends will no doubt be rich by this violent coup so it is you that is advocating the use of violence by a corrupt political entity rather than it being me.

So what, you gave up the right to say what happens there when you became part of Canada or would you like to see outside agitators acting the same way that we have done in the Ukraine? You can't have it both ways and still claim to not be fully insane.

Mea culpa, I thought the term referred to Slavs in general. I had a friend years ago who was Hungarian, pretty smart guy and very sharp sense of humour but he could be "a little rough around the edges". He was part of the wave that hit us in '56.

From what I've seen of your posts they all relate to the beginning of the USSR and the more you look at the actual history of the US the blacker it is as far as international interactions that had killed million and millions in unjust wars so it is you who needs to be clued in.

Chronological list of US murder toll: [under construction]
The murder toll has been achieved by either direct violence (e.g. the firebombing and nuking of Japan or the firebombing of Dresden) or indirect/proxy “low intensity conflict” (e.g. Rwanda in the 90s or Nicaragua in the 80s). (I have not here accounted for the deaths attributable to SAP.) Some extremely conservative estimates—

Native Americans (1776-2002): 4M
West Africans (1776-1865): 4M
Philippines (1898-1904): 600K
Germany (1945): 200K
Japan (1945): 900K
China (1945-60): 200K
Greece (1947-49): 100K
Korea (1951-53): 2M
Guatemala (1954-2002): 300K
Vietnam (1960-75): 2M
Laos (1965-73): 500K
Cambodia (1969-75): 1M
Indonesia (1965): 500K
Colombia (1966-2002): 500K
Oman (1970): 10K
Bangladesh (1971): 2M
Uganda (1971-1979): 200K
Chile (1973-1990): 20K
East Timor (1975): 200K
Angola (1975-2002): 1.5M
Argentina (1976-1979): 30K
Afghanistan (1978-2002): 1M
El Salvador (1980-95): 100K
Nicaragua (1980-90): 100K
Mozambique (1981-1988): 1M
Turkey (1984-2002): 50K
Rwanda (1990-1996): 1M
Iraq (1991-2002): 1M
Somalia (1991-1994): 300K
Yugoslavia (1991-2002): 300K
Liberia (1992-2002): 150K
Burundi (1993-1999): 200K
Sudan (1998): 100K
Congo (1998-2002): 3M

We should also take note that the United States bears more than superficial responsibility for the Nazi Holocaust: e.g., the turning away of Jewish, Romani, and other refugees; funding the concentration camp system; underwriting the Third Reich’s military; delay in opening a western front; policies of appeasement before the war; siding with the fascists during the Spanish Civil War; turning down Stalin’s offer to attack Germany jointly in 1938; providing theoretical inspiration for lebensraum, final solutions, anti-communism, anti-Semitism, etc; rebuilding Germany after the war with the fascist infrastructure still intact; saving war criminals; general ideological support; and so forth.

Are you familiar with Viktor Pinchuk, the second wealthiest man of Ukraine? This steel magnate has developed a strong network of ties in the West, be it in the United States or in France. A philanthropist, he supports artists and is now sponsoring a "revolution."

Voltaire Network | Rome (Italy) | 23 February 2014

At the table in Kiev where the formal agreement between the government, the opposition, the European Union and Russia was negotiated, there officially sat no representative of the powerful international oligarchy which – with closer ties to Washington and NATO than to Brussels and the EU - is pushing Ukraine towards the West. An emblematic case is Viktor Pinchuk, steel magnate, 54, ranked by Forbes magazine among the richest men in the world.
Pinchuk started amassing his fortune in 2002 when he married Elena, daughter of Leonid Kuchma, the second President of Ukraine (1994-2005). In 2004 his illustrious father-in-law privatized Kryvorizhstal, the largest steel plant in Ukrainia, by selling it to the Interpipe Group, co-owned by his son-in-law, for USD 800 million, about one sixth of its real value. Interpipe thus gained monopoly power over steel pipe production. In 2007, Pinchuk founded EastOne Group Ltd., an international investment advisory company, which provides to multinationals all the tools for penetrating the economies of the East. At the same time, he became the owner of four TV channels plus a popular tabloid (FThe Clinton-Pinchuk connection

In the fraud-ridden election that triggered Ukraine’s so-called Orange Revolution in 2004, Pinchuk backed Kuchma’s handpicked successor—Viktor Yanukovych, who eventually won the presidency in 2010 and whose recent decision to shelve a key treaty with the European Union and instead embrace Russia triggered the demonstrations that have seized Kiev in recent weeks.
In doing so, he f*cked himself over by backing Wiktor.

As in 2004, the appearance of flag-waving pro-democracy protesters occupying the capital’s Independence Square divided Ukraine into those whose hearts lie with the West and those whose hearts lie with Moscow. A decade ago, Pinchuk found himself stung by the Orange Revolution: The new Orange government, led by Viktor Yushchenko, renationalized a steel mill Pinchuk had purchased from the state during his father-in-law’s presidency and then promptly sold it to a foreign investor at a much higher price. Pinchuk was forced to fight to hold on to the rest of his assets.

What makes you believe I don't know what is going on when I keep telling you have no clue?
Go ahead, include all the things you mean and we'll see how factual they are rather than you just adding blind support about how wonderful the West is and how 'evil' Russia is. You are living in the past, time to grow up and accept the world for how it actually world in this century. Take as many pages as you like, I'll read it all, you little one line replies don't mean anything other than you like to flap your gums.
